🤩 Adobe’s Game-Changing New Tool!

Yesterday, we gave you the lowdown on ByteDance’s web-scraping spree—yikes, right?
If you're a creator and that makes you a little uneasy, we've got some great news to ease your mind—or rather, Adobe does.
They’re swooping in to save the day for creatives everywhere with a new tool that makes protecting and crediting your work easier than ever.
Meet Adobe’s Content Authenticity web app—a free hub designed to give you control, proper credit, and a bit of peace of mind in this AI-driven era.
Here’s why this app is set to change the game:
With it, you can slap a kind of “nutrition label” on any image, video, or audio, ensuring the world knows exactly who created it.
It’s like putting your signature on your digital masterpiece, but way cooler. You get to add your name, website, social handles, and basically anything that screams, “This is mine!”
Besides adding a label, this app lets you opt your work out of AI training.
However, this only works if the AI developers agree to it. And so far, only a startup called Spawning (the ones behind the “Have I Been Trained?” tool) is on board.
So, fingers crossed the big players like OpenAI and Google follow suit soon.🤞
This tool also offers you AI protection, but tougher: it uses digital fingerprinting, invisible watermarking, and cryptographic metadata.
Sure, it’s not hacker-proof, but anyone trying to strip the metadata off your content will definitely have a tough time.
Plus, it’s not limited to Adobe’s tools like Photoshop or Lightroom. You can use it on any content, whether you made it with Adobe or not.
It also comes with an inspection tool that recovers and shows any hidden data or credentials, such as who made it or whether AI was used.
There’s even a Google Chrome extension (in beta) that lets you check this information directly on web pages.
Now for the best part:
This app will be completely free when it launches in public beta in early 2025. And no, you won’t need an expensive Adobe subscription—just a basic Adobe account will do!
But……. There's a slight catch.
While Adobe is doing everything it can to regain creators' trust (especially after the whole generative AI confusion), this system is still voluntary.
The real challenge here is getting more AI developers to support it.
Currently, they’ve got 3,700 organizations backing them, but it will take major players like OpenAI and Google to make this truly effective.
If Adobe can make this happen somehow, it could be a game-changer for anyone wanting to stay in control of their work in the AI age.

🎬 Meta's New AI Animation Tool!

Imagine turning a simple photo into an eye-catching video ad. Meta’s new AI animation tool is set to make that possible.
With the tool, advertisers can upload static images and have AI animate them—like floating strawberries in the background of a jam jar. See example here.
It doesn’t stop there; the tool can even enlarge videos by generating “unseen pixels in each video frame.”
This is similar to how some AI image editing tools allow you to expand image backgrounds. Pretty cool, right? 😃
All these new capabilities build upon Meta’s existing AI features for advertisers, which already allow companies to use text and image generation in their ads.
And get ready - these ads will soon be featured on the new full-screen video tab coming to Facebook.
Meta is gradually rolling out these features now and plans to make them widely available early next year.
So, expect to see more engaging, AI-crafted ads flooding your social media feeds.
