🖼️ AI Image Editing is coming to WhatsApp!

Meta is cooking up something hot for WhatsApp!

With the latest WhatsApp beta (, you can ask questions about any photo you upload or snap using the camera button in the bottom right corner.

And that's not all - you can even edit the photo using text prompts, all without leaving WhatsApp!

However, there’s no official word on the level of image editing that we will be getting.

But if it's anything like other AI-powered image editing tools, we should be able to remove objects, change backgrounds, and enhance the overall look of the image.

Oh, and you can delete these photos whenever you want!

These new features are powered by Meta’s advanced AI model, Llama 3, which seamlessly handles text, voice, and images.

And it’s not just WhatsApp; Meta has introduced AI into Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger too!

Exciting, isn't it? Read the full story here.

Microsoft won't Join OpenAI’s Ban in China!

OpenAI is set to block API access to its AI models in China starting today, July 9th, but you know what? The country might not even miss OpenAI at all!

Microsoft has just announced that the ban won’t affect its Azure customers in China.

It turns out that Azure, operating through a joint venture in the country, will continue to offer AI model access to eligible customers leveraging models deployed outside China!

But here's the intriguing part:

OpenAI's decision to ban China was supposedly made to restrict access in unsupported regions.

However, it seems to be part of broader measures, including recent Biden administration efforts to regulate AI development and limit China’s access to advanced tech.

But guess what?

Despite all these efforts, China is actually leading the world in generative AI patents, filing over six times more than the U.S., according to reports!

So maybe China won’t need both Microsoft and OpenAI at all. Or what do you think?
