🤩 Amazon's Latest AI Innovations for Alexa!

Remember when Amazon announced that it would be launching new developer tools to build LLM-powered experiences with Alexa?
Well, they've delivered!
At this week’s CES event in Las Vegas, Amazon unveiled three developers who are bringing new generative AI-powered Alexa experiences to its Alexa Skill Store.
AI chatbot platform Character.AI
AI music company Splash
Voice AI game developer Volley.
Character.AI’s new experience enables you to engage in real-time conversations with different personas, including fictional characters like Librarian Linda or even pretend-versions of celebrities and historical figures like Elon Musk, Socrates, William Shakespeare, etc.
You can even help Nintendo character Mario find Princess Peach in a roleplay adventure game. How cool is that?

While Splash has a free Alexa Skill that turns your voice into personalized songs. Just say, "Alexa, open Splash," pick a genre (pop, electronic, rock, or hip hop), add lyrics, and voila! Your masterpiece is ready to download.
And if you're a fan of games, Volley has brought a modern version of its well-known game "20 Questions" to Alexa users. The game uses generative AI to interact with users by asking them questions, providing hints, and explaining “yes or no questions” if the human opponent gets stuck.

But wait, there's more!
Amazon also announced other exciting updates at CES, like bringing Fire TV to Panasonic’s new smart TVs in 2024, Matter Casting support on Fire TV and Echo Show 15 devices, the latest generation of robotaxi Zoox, and much more. (Check them out here).
This year's CES unveiled a tsunami of generative AI updates from companies like Volkswagen, Walmart, Nvidia, and many more. If you’re interested, you can take a look at what’s new here.
🙅 YouTube Cracks Down on Disturbing AI Content.

YouTube is tightening its policies against unsettling AI-generated content.
They're putting the brakes on any content that "realistically simulates" minors or crime victims narrating violent incidents.
This move zeroes in on a disturbing trend in true crime circles, where AI is used to depict victims, especially children, with graphic details.
Some even go as far as using AI-generated childlike voices, earning a hefty "disgusting" label from victims' families.
So, here's the deal now:
Break the rules, and you'll get a strike that wipes your content and slaps you with temporary platform restrictions.
First strike, for example, means no video uploads for a week, among other things, and if you push your luck within 90 days, things could get really serious and even lead to channel removal.
