Welcome Automaters, 👋

So we need to talk about something that should be on every parent’s radar.

It turns out 60% of kids aged 8 to 17 are worried about AI being used to create inappropriate pictures of them. Yeah, you read that right.

This bombshell comes from a massive survey of 2,000 young people released for Safer Internet Day (February 10, 2026). The stats get even more concerning: 12% of teenagers aged 13 to 17 have already seen people their age using AI to create sexual deepfakes of others.

Here's the wild part:

97% of these kids are actually using AI tools anyway. 58% say it makes their lives better. We have officially entered a weird reality where kids love AI for homework help and chatting, but they are also genuinely terrified of it being weaponized against them.

The timing here is pretty spot on. The UK’s data regulator just opened a formal investigation into X and xAI after their chatbot, Grok, was used to generate sexual deepfake images without consent.

Parents aren't exactly oblivious to the chaos. About 65% are worried about AI-generated images of their children. But here is the massive disconnect: only 19% of parents have actually set any rules at home for AI use.

The takeaway: We are all just figuring this out in real-time. If you haven't had "the talk" (the AI version) with your kids yet, now might be the time.

Here's what we have for you today

🎥 ByteDance’s Seedance 2.0: The AI Video Generator That Just Outran Sora

So ByteDance dropped Seedance 2.0 over the weekend and the internet—plus China’s stock market—officially lost its collective mind.

This AI video generator launched on February 7, and it isn’t just good. It is "holy-cow-is-this-even-real" good. The tech turns text, images, or even audio into 2K cinematic videos with automatic sound effects in about 60 seconds. Think Hollywood-level production, but you’re making it from your couch.

Early testers are reporting a 90%+ success rate on first attempts. For context: previous AI video tools were basically a lottery where maybe 1 out of 5 attempts actually looked decent. This? This is a guaranteed jackpot.

The market reaction was absolutely CRAZY. Investors saw this tech and basically screamed "TAKE MY MONEY." Check out these numbers:

  • COL Group hit the 20% daily trading limit.

  • Shanghai Film and Perfect World each jumped 10%.

  • Baidu rallied 9%, Alibaba surged 3.6%, and Xiaomi shot up over 8%.

But here is where things get a little "Black Mirror" weird: The model was initially so good it could generate super accurate voice clones from just a single facial photo. Tech influencer Pan Tianhong uploaded a static photo and got back a digital clone with his exact voice.

ByteDance had to pull the emergency brake on that feature Monday. Now, they are requiring users to verify their own face and voice before creating avatars.

The Bottom Line:

Swiss consultancy CTOL, as well as the entire internet, is already calling Seedance 2.0 the most advanced AI video model on the planet, even surpassing OpenAI’s Sora 2 and Google’s Veo 3.1. It is currently in beta for select Chinese users, but hey, rumor has it a broader rollout is expected by the end of February.

So yeah, the future of film is officially here, and apparently, it’s being run by ByteDance. Trump, as well as Altman must not be having a good night sleep with that one

🤖 AI Workout Of The Day: How To Create Mini Ads in 30 Seconds

Forget spending hours in a design dungeon or paying an agency to "find the vibe". AI just promoted everyone to Creative Director.

New-gen ad builders like AdCreative.ai, Quickads, and Canva Grow are officially making it really easy for anyone to run a business without the heavy burden of creating ads. We’re talking professional-grade video and image ads in under 60 seconds, with exactly zero design skills required.

The Play: You upload a basic product photo, and the AI spits out scroll-stopping creatives ready for Meta, TikTok, or Google. It even handles the "boring" stuff, like automatically resizing one design into 10+ formats so you don't have to.

If you’re ready to stop staring at a blank canvas, here is the 2026 starter kit:

  • Canva Grow: This is the ultimate "all-in-one" wingman. It doesn't just design; it analyzes what’s working in your industry, offers you a searchable library of thousands of successful real-world ads and generates ads proven to convert. Plus, you can publish directly to Facebook or Instagram without ever leaving the tab.

  • AdCreative.ai: The data nerd’s favorite. It uses a massive database of high-performing ads to "score" your designs before you even spend a dime on them. It’s like having a crystal ball for your ROI.

  • Quickads: Living up to its name, this tool is built for pure speed. Paste your website URL, and it instantly "borrows" your brand colors and logo to build a full campaign. it can even spy on your competition to help you level up.

The 30-Second Workflow

To go from "idea" to "live ad" before your coffee gets cold, just follow the script:

  1. Drop the Link: Paste your product URL or upload a single photo.

  2. Pick a Goal: Tell the AI if you want "Sales," "Leads," or just "Brand Awareness."

  3. The "Magic" Button: Hit generate. The AI handles the catchy headlines, the visual hooks, and even the background music for video clips.

Try this prompt structure:

For Sales: "Create a Facebook ad for my ergonomic office chair. The Vibe: Minimalist and high-end. The Hook: Focus on back pain relief for remote workers. The Goal: Use a 'Shop Now' CTA and emphasize a 30-day money-back guarantee."

For TikTok/Reels: "Generate a 15-second video ad for a new energy drink. The Vibe: High energy, fast cuts, and neon colors. The Hook: 'Focus without the crash.' The Goal: Make it feel like user-generated content (UGC), not a corporate commercial."

For B2B/SaaS: "Design a LinkedIn ad for an AI accounting tool. The Vibe: Professional, trustworthy, and clean. The Hook: 'Save 10 hours a week on bookkeeping.' The Goal: Get users to click 'Download Whitepaper' and use data-driven visuals like charts or graphs."
