ChatGPT Wants to Be Your Everything?!
Plus, the proposal template that closes deals

Welcome, Automaters!
Thanks to a courtroom slip-up, we just got a peek at OpenAI’s vision for ChatGPT — and let’s just say, they’re not stopping at answering questions. They want it running your whole digital life.
Here's what we have for you today
🦾 OpenAI’s Not-So-Tiny Plan for ChatGPT

So, a little drama unfolded during Google’s antitrust trial — and somehow, an internal OpenAI memo got caught in the crossfire. 👀
And let me tell you… this wasn’t just boring corporate blah blah. Just like Altman teased a while back, this memo spilled some serious tea about where OpenAI wants to take ChatGPT — and it’s kinda wild.
Here’s the scoop:
OpenAI’s internal plan is to turn ChatGPT into a super-assistant — basically your digital ride-or-die. Not just something you chat with, but something that gets you, follows you around (in a totally non-creepy way), and helps run your entire online life.
We're talking:
A personalized “entity” that’s always available — across apps, email, phone, even third-party tools like Siri
An assistant that knows what you care about, what you need, and what tasks are draining your soul
Something with “T-shaped skills” → meaning it’s smart in a broad, general way and can go deep on specific tasks (starting with coding)
In short, OpenAI wants ChatGPT to help with any task a smart, emotionally intelligent, trustworthy human with a laptop could handle. Yep — we’re talking stuff like:
✈️ Planning your vacation
🏡 Helping you find a home
💼💪 Contacting a lawyer or joining a gym
🧠📧 Managing your calendar, to-do list, and emails
Basically… everything short of folding your laundry (for now).
And honestly? They’re halfway there.
The last time Altman spilled the vision, he mentioned how Gen Z, adults — pretty much everyone — is already using and relying on ChatGPT regularly. So this "super-assistant" idea? Not that far-fetched.
Except… There's a catch.
AI still has some growing up to do. Right now, ChatGPT (and its digital cousins) still:
Struggle with time — literally can’t tell it properly
Make up facts out of nowhere (yep, hallucinations are still a thing)
Occasionally get high on their own supply of digital nonsense.
So for this “super-assistant” dream to actually work, OpenAI has two options: either level up ChatGPT to truly deliver on the vision or convince us that the convenience is worth dealing with a few digital quirks.
Either way, one thing’s clear: OpenAI isn’t just building a chatbot. They want ChatGPT to be your always-on, emotionally intelligent, super-competent — and let’s be real, a little clingy — tech sidekick.
It’s kinda exciting. But also kinda terrifying.

🤯 Google’s Bold New Inbox Move

A lot went down at Google over the weekend.
First, they quietly dropped a new app that lets you download and run AI models locally on your phone.
Then, they patched a bug in AI Overviews that had it confidently announcing we’re still in 2024. (Time travel, maybe?)
But honestly, the juiciest update is this:
Google’s AI assistant, Gemini, just got way more intrusive in your inbox.
Yep, Google’s making its AI assistant way more proactive in Gmail. Instead of waiting for you to ask it to summarize long email threads, Gemini will now do it automatically — like a helpful ghostwriter living rent-free in your inbox.

Here’s what’s changing:
No more clicking “Summarize.” Gemini now auto-generates summaries of long emails without you lifting a finger.
Live updates included. The summary evolves as new replies come in — so you’re always caught up without scrolling for days.
Still optional (kind of). You can toggle it on or off under Gmail settings > Smart features. And if you’re in the EU, UK, Switzerland, or Japan, it’s off by default.
The manual option still lives on. If you Prefer doing it yourself, the original “Summarize” button is still there.
Also, heads up: It’s only available in English for now. So if your inbox’s in another language, you'll have to wait a bit.
But here’s the thing… While this sounds super convenient, AI summaries aren’t always the sharpest tool in the box.
Google’s own AI Overviews has famously served up some wild inaccurate results. And don’t forget Apple’s push notification summaries — they messed up headlines so badly the BBC called them out, and Apple had to hit pause.
So yeah — Gemini’s stepping up, but maybe don’t trust it with your life-or-deadline decisions just yet. Because sometimes, AI is less “nailed it” and more “eh, close enough.”

🔧 AI Troubleshooter: When ChatGPT Won’t Break Character
Ever asked ChatGPT to play a role — like a life coach, therapist, or pirate — and now it won’t stop?
Like…You’re done. You’ve moved on.
But ChatGPT’s still out here calling you “champ” and dishing out motivational speeches like it’s Coach Carter.
Here’s how to get it back to normal:
Say “Reset to default behavior”: Literally just type that in. It’s like snapping your fingers in front of someone’s face — it’ll usually drop the act and go back to its standard helpful self.
Hit “New Chat”: If the roleplay is really clinging on like an ex that won’t let go, just start a fresh chat. That clears the convo history and resets the whole vibe.
Bonus tip: If you’re asking it to roleplay again later, always be clear when the act should end. Try: “Pretend you’re a coach for this next response — then go back to normal.” Trust me, your future self will thank you.
That’s it for this week!
