Gemini app gets a new look

🤩 Gemini App Gets a New Look!

Google just gave its Gemini app a serious makeover, and trust me, it’s a total glow-up.

If you’ve used the old version, you probably remember the cluttered design with topic suggestions, the slightly confusing "Chats & Gems" section, and that ever-present Gemini logo.

But guess what? All of that is gone now. The app looks super clean and sleek.

When you open it, you'll be greeted with a simple welcome message and a little chat bubble (in the upper left corner) for quick access to your chat history.

And the text field? It's so much smoother now.

It’s all in one line, just like a regular chat conversation, and they’ve even squeezed in the mic and camera options right there.

Plus, the Gemini Live waveform—Google’s way of showing off its real-time magic—is chilling in the bottom right, ready for action.

Honestly, the whole thing gives off super user-friendly ChatGPT vibes without the “generate art” suggestions that OpenAI throws in.

Google first teased this design back in September, and now it’s available for everyone on Android and even in the Google browser.

On top of that, Google’s been dropping new features like candy lately.

One of the best is- Gemini's Live Voice Mode, which lets you have real-time, dynamic conversations at the tap of a button.

Sure, voice modes aren’t exactly new, but Google’s saying this one’s as close to chatting with a real person as it gets—minus the awkward small talk.

So, if you’ve been turned off by Gemini’s past issues (like the annoying outdated information it often provided), this fresh, snazzy redesign might just win you back.

It’s slick, smooth, and—dare I say—fun.😀

And hey, if you want to test it out, there’s a whole bunch of new prompts you can try to see what this fresh, snazzy version can really do.

😤 Meta Faces Backlash for AI Northern Lights Pics!

Did you catch the breathtaking Northern Lights display in the United States on Thursday night?

Meta tried to capitalize on the moment, but it backfired seriously.

They posted three AI-generated photos on Threads, showing the Northern Lights hovering over the Golden Gate Bridge, a city skyline, and a Ferris wheel.

As you may have guessed, the response from Threads users was anything but glowing.

Some highlighted the disconnect between using AI and experiencing a rare natural phenomenon.

Other comments ranged from humorous jabs to angry takes, with one user saying that the post is a slap in the face to all the millions of photos shared of the northern lights by photographers.

Some even shared their own breathtaking photos instead.

And one individual claiming to be an "Astro/particle physicist and AI scientist" provided detailed feedback.

Meta may have been trying to join in on the trend, but it seems that, like the Olympics ad Google pulled, Meta’s social media team has failed to read the room.

Users’ posts aren’t just showing off a pretty picture; they want to celebrate a real moment together—not replace it with digital replicas.

And especially as there’s still an ongoing conversation about the ethical implications of AI in art and photography, posts like Meta’s will probably not be welcomed.
