OpenAI has dropped a bombshell with the launch of GPT-4o, their latest AI marvel that can handle text, speech, and video.

And, of course, it means big things for ChatGPT!

If you’re familiar with ChatGPT (and honestly, who isn't), then you know of the voice mode that speaks the chatbot’s responses out loud, but GPT-4o takes that to a whole new level.

You can ask the GPT-4o-powered ChatGPT a question and interrupt ChatGPT while it’s answering, and it can even pick up on your tone and respond in different emotive styles, including singing.

GPT-4o beefs up ChatGPT’s vision skills, too!

ChatGPT can now quickly answer questions based on a photo or from your desktop screen, such as “What’s going on in this software code?” or “What brand of shirt is this person wearing?”

But that’s not all — GPT-4o is more multilingual as well, with enhanced performance in around 50 languages.

However, GPT-4o’s new audio capabilities will only be available to “a small group of trusted partners” in the coming weeks.😔

💃 OpenAI Unlocks some Premium Features!

OpenAI has decided to give you access to some of its premium features, which were previously only available to paid subscribers.

You will now be able to browse the GPT Store and use custom bots there!

And let me tell you, some seriously cool bots are already making waves there, like the scientific research bot Consensus, an image-generating bot, and a logo-making bot.

This move comes at a great time since OpenAI is planning on offering an engagement-based revenue sharing program for GPT builders — that started testing in March.

OpenAI is also giving free users the ability to upload files and photos for summary and analysis, search the web with ChatGPT, and use GPT-4 with memory of previous chats.
