📹 Google's Next-Level Video Generator!

Google just unveiled a big contender against OpenAI’s text-to-video AI, Sora, at its I/O conference.

It's called “Veo,” and it can generate “high-quality” 1080p resolution videos over a minute in length in a wide variety of visual and cinematic styles — from text, images, and video prompts.

But what really sets Veo apart is its ability to understand cinematic terms like “timelapse” or “aerial shots of a landscape.”

Just prompt it, and boom! Veo will give you videos with realistic movements for everything, from people to animals and objects throughout shots.

Plus, you can also refine your video results with additional prompts, and Google plans to add even more features to enable Veo to produce storyboards and longer scenes.

But hold onto your hats — it's not quite ready for everyone's hands yet!😔

Google is currently handpicking filmmakers and creators to experiment with the model.

However, if you're itching to try it, some Veo features will also be available to “select creators in the coming weeks” in a private preview inside VideoFX.

🤩 Create your own Chatbots on Google’s Gemini AI!

Google has just added a bunch of new features to its Gemini AI that will knock your socks off!

One of the most powerful and (if we do say so ourselves) the coolest is the “Gems feature,” which allows you to create custom versions of the Gemini assistant with different personalities.

You can create a gym buddy, a sous chef, a coding partner, a creative writing guide, or anything else you can dream up out of Gemini!

All you need to do is accurately describe what you want to Gemini, including how you want your gem to respond. Easy peasy!

For example, you can ask it to be your running coach, provide you with a daily run schedule, sound upbeat and motivating, and voila!

Gemini will create a gem for you, just as you've described.

It's very similar to OpenAI's GPT store, right? But while the GPT store is now open to everyone, including free users, the Gem feature will be available “soon” to only Gemini Advanced subscribers.
