🚂 Microsoft Is Bringing OpenAI’s GPT-4 AI Model to US Government Agencies

Microsoft Corp. has announced that US government agencies that are utilizing its Azure Government cloud computing service will now have access to OpenAI's GPT-4 and GPT-3.

They will be used for tasks like generating answers to research questions, producing computer code and summarizing field reports.

The specific US agencies that'll begin using this model weren't mentioned, but agencies like the Defense Department, Energy Department, and NASA are among the users of Azure's Government cloud computing service.

So, this is a big deal. 🤯

This initiative is the first major effort to widely offer chatbot technology to the US government.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, Microsoft hosts the AI model in its Azure infrastructure so, any data sent to them stays within the Azure OpenAI service.

Data from Azure Government customers won’t be used to train the AI models.

💪Twilio and Google Cloud Joins Forces for Customer AI.

Twilio is integrating Google Cloud's generative AI into Twilio Flex, the company's contact centre, sales, and in-app concierge service.

How does it work?

In a video interview, Twilio CEO Jeff Lawson explains that when customer service representatives are engaging with customers, the AI system will prompt them with the next best action based on the specific history and needs of each customer.

Then once a customer ends their call or closes their chat, the generative AI will compile an after-call summary and perform sentiment analysis to build a comprehensive profile for that customer.

And here's the exciting part:

Toyota is already utilizing Twilio's new features to power its Toyota Connected Destination Assist navigation feature.

This service is available to all Toyota and Lexus drivers in North America, offering round-the-clock assistance in over 30 languages. 🤯

So there you have it, folks! Twilio and its generative AI integration are revolutionizing customer service while keeping your privacy intact. 😎
