💊 OpenAI Dips Into Drug Approvals

Yesterday, we were asking: Where exactly does AI fit in healthcare?
We couldn’t quite figure it out.
But today? OpenAI might’ve just dropped a clue—and it’s sitting right in the FDA’s backyard.
Here’s the scoop:
Apparently, OpenAI’s been in quiet meetings with the FDA, talking about how AI could actually help speed up drug approvals. Yep—those same approvals that usually take a whole decade to get through.
And let’s be honest: if there’s one thing that could use a little AI magic, it’s the bureaucratic black hole of U.S. healthcare systems.
So what’s going on?
FDA Commissioner Marty Makary hopped on X (formerly Twitter) and basically asked: “Why the heck are we still doing things the slow, old-school way when we’ve got AI?” Honestly? Valid question.
He also revealed that the FDA just completed its first-ever AI-assisted scientific review—and he called it “just the beginning.”
Behind the scenes, OpenAI has allegedly been working with a small team inside the FDA on something called “cderGPT.” Think: ChatGPT, but trained on drug evaluation data—and likely named after the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER).
Oh, and get this:
Meetings have also included people from Elon Musk’s oddly named Department of Government Efficiency and the FDA’s new AI officer, Jeremy Walsh, who’s currently steering this whole ship.
But here’s the thing: Nothing’s official yet. No contracts have been signed, but there’ve been multiple meetings... and a lot of buzz.
So what’s the point of all this?
Well, AI could help by automating the boring but time-consuming stuff, like:
Checking if drug applications are complete before moving to full review
Flagging errors or missing info early on
Cutting down the back-and-forth that usually slows everything down
Basically, it's about trimming the fat in the final stages—not rewriting the whole process (yet).
But hold up—it’s not all sunshine and speed boosts.
In fact, the biggest challenge is making sure these models don’t start hallucinating or inventing medical advice out of thin air. (We all know ChatGPT can get a little too creative sometimes.)
AI probably won’t slash the full 10-year development timeline. But it could help compress that final stretch—where the FDA reviews a drug’s safety and effectiveness.
It’s a small slice of the process, but even that could make a real difference.
Fun fact: The FDA is already recruiting researchers to help build internal AI tools and OpenAI just launched ChatGPT Gov, a version of its tool tailored to U.S. government regulations.
Yep—they’re playing the long game
Bottom line:
AI in healthcare might finally be getting its foot in the door.
Not with robot doctors (yet), but by helping clear the messy, slow, frustrating red tape that keeps new treatments stuck in limbo.
Because if we can shave even a few years off the drug approval timeline? That’s not just innovation—that’s saving lives faster.
According to the report, the real impact will come down the line—once the tech is vetted, the policies are clear, and the public actually trusts it.

🤝 Microsoft’s Big Bet on AI Collaboration

Microsoft just made a bold move in the AI game.
They’re going all in on Google’s Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol, and trust me, this is a game-changer for how AI agents communicate with each other.
Here’s what that means:
AI agents playing nice together: Think of A2A as the ultimate social network for AI. It allows these semi-autonomous AI agents to exchange goals and take action across different clouds, apps, and services. So, a Microsoft agent could plan your meetings, while a Google agent sends out the invites—basically creating a tech-powered dream team.
More flexibility for developers: With this new protocol, developers can build complex workflows where agents from different platforms can communicate and collaborate seamlessly. Whether it’s a Microsoft agent, a Google one, or even a third-party tool, everything works in harmony (well, almost everything).
And the best part? All of this happens under tight security and governance, ensuring everything stays above board.
And no, Microsoft isn’t just adding new features—they’re thinking way ahead.
Their blog post says they’re laying the foundation for the next-gen software that’s “collaborative, observable, and adaptive by design.”
In other words, the future of software is AI agents working across the board, with no single system locking everything down.
And that’s not really surprising, given how AI agents are on the rise.
We’re talking about a booming industry where 65% of companies are already experimenting with AI agents, according to a recent KPMG survey.
And get this: The AI agent market is projected to grow from $7.84 billion in 2025 to $52.62 billion by 2030.
Ultimately, this move is huge, especially when you consider it comes right after Microsoft adopted another big standard called MCP (from Anthropic), which connects AI to where data actually resides.
And don’t forget, Google and OpenAI are already onboard with MCP, so Microsoft is just adding another card to its AI deck.
Oh, and they’ll be supporting this new system across two of their major platforms: Azure AI Foundry and Copilot Studio.

🤖 ChatGPT Prompt Of The Day: Master the Art of Persuasion
Persuasive writing isn’t just for sales pages or political speeches—it’s a powerful tool for getting what you want, whether you’re pitching a product, applying for a job, or defending a decision.
With the right prompt, ChatGPT can analyze your message and offer smart, actionable tips to help make your case more compelling and effective.
Here’s what you need to make this prompt work effectively:
Define the Goal Upfront: Specify exactly what you're trying to persuade the reader to believe, feel, or do. This helps focus the analysis.
Provide Full Context: Share the complete text or message. The AI needs to see the full structure to evaluate tone, flow, and logic.
Include the Intended Audience: Mention who you’re writing for (e.g., customers, hiring managers, city officials). Persuasion works differently depending on the reader.
Ask for Specific Suggestions: Request clear tips, not just general advice—like changing tone, using stronger examples, stronger calls to action, better evidence, emotional appeals, or improved structure.
Consider Multiple Angles: You can also ask ChatGPT to rephrase parts of your text using different persuasive techniques (emotional appeal, logic, authority, etc.).
Combine with Your Own Insight: Use the AI’s analysis as a launchpad, not a final draft. Add your personal touch and voice to keep it authentic.
Here’s an example:
The purpose of this text is to persuade the reader that [insert goal—e.g., remote work boosts productivity].
Please analyze the content, tone, and structure to assess how persuasive it is.
Then, provide a list of actionable tips to improve its persuasiveness—such as strengthening arguments, refining tone, improving structure, or using more compelling language.
Or provide a list of specific tips to improve its persuasiveness, such as changes to word choice, emotional appeal, logic, or flow.
