OpenAI is officially testing a new feature that lets you sign in to other apps using your ChatGPT account.
Yep. You know how youβre always asked to βSign in with Googleβ or βSign in with Appleβ? Well, now you might start seeing βSign in with ChatGPTβ too.
And considering ChatGPT is out here pulling 600 million monthly users, OpenAIβs clearly thinking: Why not ride this wave into every app, device, and digital corner of your life?
Weβre talking shopping apps, social media platforms, personal gadgetsβbasically anything with a login screen.
So whatβs really going down?
OpenAI quietly dropped a page on its site saying it's gauging developer interest in this whole βSign in with ChatGPTβ idea.
Think of it as the first move to turn ChatGPT from just a chatbot into a full-blown consumer identity platform. (Very techcore of them, ngl.)
Oh, and theyβve already started testing it...
Yup. Earlier this month, developers got a taste of the sign-in magic via Codex CLI (thatβs OpenAIβs open-source coding tool).
With the feature, devs could connect their ChatGPT Free, Plus, or Pro accounts to their OpenAI API accounts.
And to make things a little sweeter? OpenAI handed out API credit perks because nothing says βtry thisβ like a little financial motivation πΈ
And get this: theyβre not just eyeing tech bros in garages...
OpenAIβs casting a wide net. Their developer interest form is open to:
Tiny apps with <1,000 weekly users
Mega apps with 100M+ users
And pretty much everyone in between
They're even asking devs things like:
How do you charge for AI features?
Do you use OpenAIβs API?
So yeah, this isnβt just a fun side project. Theyβre clearly building something serious.
And if youβre wondering where all this came from...
It didnβt just appear out of thin air. Sam Altman actually hinted at this idea back in 2023. He said a βSign in with OpenAIβ feature might be on the table.
Well, now itβs 2025, and itβs not just on the table β itβs halfway into production.
The big mystery? No one knows when itβs officially dropping β or whoβs already in the loop. OpenAIβs keeping that info locked down
Bottom line? OpenAI doesnβt just want to power your chatbot convos anymore β they want to be the key to your entire online world.

Claude can talk now β literally.
Anthropic is finally rolling out a voice mode for its Claude chatbot, and honestly? Itβs about time.
This new feature (still in beta) lets you ditch the keyboard and actually talk to Claude β like you're FaceTiming a brainy friend who never forgets anything and can summarize your whole meeting in two seconds flat.
With the new voice mode, you can literally:
π£οΈ Chat with Claude using your voice and hear its responses in English (for now).
π§ Catch key points on-screen while you chat.
π Seamlessly switch between text and voice within the same conversation .
ποΈ Choose from five distinct voice options to personalize your experience.
ποΈ And get help with docs, images, and big ideas β like youβre brainstorming with an AI coworker.
And because receipts matter, Claude keeps track and gives you a neat summary or transcript when youβre done.
But hold up... there are some limits:
π§ Free users get about 20β30 voice chats before hitting the usage cap.
π The good stuff β like Claude syncing with your Google Calendar or Gmail β is reserved for paid users.
πΌ Google Docs integration is enterprise-exclusive too. (So if youβre not swiping the company cardβ¦ sorry.)
A little backstory for the curious minds:
Claudeβs Chief Product Officer β yep, thatβs Instagram co-founder Mike Krieger β hinted at this voice upgrade back in March during an interview with The Financial Times.
At the time, he mentioned they were in talks with Amazon (Anthropicβs major investor) and ElevenLabs (aka the voice AI pros) to possibly help build out these features.
Now, whether those partnerships are actually powering this new voice mode? π€·ββοΈ Is still a mystery.
But The Bottom line is: Claude can officially talk now.
And Anthropicβs clearly ready to play in the voice chat big leagues β right alongside OpenAI, Google, and xAI.
Letβs just hope Claude doesnβt start ghosting mid-convo like Siri on a bad day. π
