🤩 GPT-5: OpenAI's Next Big Leap in AI Technology!

According to internal sources at OpenAI, the company is preparing to release its latest generation AI model, GPT-5, this summer.

The new model is expected to be significantly more capable than the GPT-4 model, but the specifics are still hush-hush for now!

However, OpenAI has given some enterprise customers a sneak peek of GPT-5 through demos, and the feedback has been positive.

It was even described as "materially better" than its predecessor by early testers!

But before we get ahead of ourselves, it is important to note that the model is still in the training phase, and rigorous safety tests will be conducted before it is publicly released.

Plus, the launch timeline has not been officially confirmed. So, don't be too disappointed if we don’t get a summer release!

⚖️ Google Fined €250M by French Authority!

France's competition authority slaps Google with a €250 million fine for breaching copyright commitments!

The authority claims that Google has been using content from news publishers and agencies to train its AI model Gemini without notifying them, even after they previously committed to paying for the reuse of their content.

Shockingly, Google says they will not contest the fine in exchange for a fast-tracked process and making a monetary payment.

However, Sulina Connal, Google’s managing director for news and publishing partnerships, doesn't seem too pleased about it.

She wrote a lengthy blog post stating that "the fine is not proportionate to the issues raised" by the Authority, and they’re settling because it’s time to move on!

This isn't the first time Google has gotten into trouble with the French Authority; they have a whole history between them, and you can read all about it here!
