 🤯 OpenAI’s Whistleblower Scandal!

Whistleblowers are making some serious accusations against OpenAI!

According to a letter sent to SEC Chair Gary Gensler, the whistleblowers allege that OpenAI's agreements prevented employees and investors from speaking with the SEC about securities violations.

On top of that, they also allege that employees were forced to waive their rights to whistleblower incentives and had to notify the company of any communication with government regulators.

But that’s not all!

The letter also states that OpenAI's previous NDAs required employees to sign unfairly restrictive contracts to secure employment and financial compensation, and they have provided evidence of this to the SEC!

The whistleblowers are now asking the SEC to investigate OpenAI’s severance, non-disparagement, and non-disclosure agreements.

However, OpenAI maintains that its whistleblower policies protect employees’ rights to make protected disclosures.

But get this —OpenAI has been under fire before for its employee exit agreement!

Earlier this year, the company faced criticism over provisions that would have taken away former employees’ vested equity if they refused to sign the exit agreement or violated their NDAs.

CEO Sam Altman has since issued an apology about that and promised to make changes to the exit paperwork.

🔐 Rabbit Added Some Major Security Updates to Their Devices!

Rabbit Inc, the company behind Rabbit R1, just made a shocking revelation!

So, remember that report from some anonymous researchers about the security issues with some API keys they found hardcoded in the company’s codebase from last month?

Well, guess what? It turns out the report came from an insider at the company!

Shocking, right? Well, it's true. The company traced the leak and found the employee responsible.

They've terminated the employee, launched a thorough investigation, and are even going the extra mile to ensure user safety.

How?

Well, they're rolling out a software update that includes a Factory Reset option that wipes out all chat logs previously saved by the device to prevent any sensitive data from lingering around.

But that's not nearly all!

We also found that the R1's pairing data could read the Rabbithole journal, which posed a huge risk to users' data if the device ever got lost or stolen.

But you know what? That's not going to be happening anymore!

The new update ensures that the pairing data can't read the journal and also isn't stored on the device anymore.

Plus, Rabbit Inc. has slashed down the amount of log data stored.

But here's the most reassuring part:

Despite all this drama, there's been no evidence of any misuse. So, take a deep breath, everyone!

Rabbit Inc. has also vowed to revamp its security practices to prevent future issues.
