🤯The New AI Tool That Lets You Build Apps with Just Words.

Forget learning to code—Quora’s AI playground, Poe, just dropped a game-changer: Poe App Creator, a tool that lets you build custom AI-powered apps with nothing but a simple description, a little imagination, and, of course, some AI magic.

Here’s how it works:

You type out what you want your app to do, and Poe whips up a functional AI app.

Your descriptions can include mentions of specific models you want the app to use (or build on) — for example, OpenAI’s GPT-4o, OpenAI’s o3-mini, Google’s video-generating Veo 2 —or any other model that fits the job.

Powered by the newly launched Claude 3.7 Sonnet, the tool takes your description, translates it into a JavaScript-powered app, and—just like that—you’ve got a functional AI creation with no coding required.

And if you’re feeling adventurous? You can tweak the code yourself. But honestly, Poe does most of the heavy lifting.

To prove how cool this is, Quora built a few example apps, including one that turns photos into 3D anime-style art and another that erases objects from images.

So, What Can You Do With It?

Well, it’s more than just a fun experiment.

Poe Apps can be fully visual or work alongside Poe’s chatbot, and best of all? You can share them with others. (For now, it's web-only, but Quora promises iOS and Android support soon.)

Oh, and every time an app runs, it pulls from Poe’s point system:

  • Free users get a daily point allowance.

  • Premium users ($5/month) get extra flexibility.

The real game-changer? Monetization.

Quora is teasing the ability for users to make money from their AI apps, meaning this could evolve into an entirely new way to profit from AI-powered creativity.

Poe’s App Creator has been made available at a reduced early-access price for a limited time, but one thing’s clear: AI app-building just got ridiculously easy.

And with AI models getting better at coding, we might be heading toward a future where anyone can spin up an AI app as easily as tweeting, no coding skills required.

The bigger question is: Are developers about to find themselves less in demand?

If you’re worried about how AI might impact your career, now’s the time to adapt, upskill, and stay ahead of the curve. (Here’s how)

🤑 Google Offers Its AI Coding Assistant for Free—Beating GitHub Copilot.

Google just made AI-powered coding way more accessible.

Today, the company announced that Gemini Code Assist—its AI tool for developers—is now free for individual users worldwide.

Unlike GitHub Copilot, which limits free users to 2,000 code completions per month, Google is offering a staggering 180,000 code completions.

If you’re a student, freelancer, or hobbyist coder, this might just be your new favorite tool.

Gemini Code Assist, powered by Google’s Gemini 2.0 AI model, can generate full code blocks, complete snippets as you type, and even debug your code—all within an intuitive chatbot interface.

It integrates seamlessly with Visual Studio Code, GitHub, and JetBrains and supports 38 programming languages.

The best part?

You can give it natural language instructions, like: “Build a simple HTML form with fields for name, email, and message, and add a ‘submit’ button.”…and it’ll generate the code instantly.

While the free version is packed with features, Google is keeping some perks—like productivity analytics, Google Cloud integrations, and private code customization—locked behind its paid Standard and Enterprise tiers.

Google’s move is a clear challenge to GitHub Copilot, and with way fewer restrictions, it might be the better deal for solo developers.

Will you make the switch?
