🍾 The First Apple iOS 18.2 Beta is ere!

Exciting news from Apple!
The company just dropped the first developer beta of iOS 18.2, and it's loaded with new Apple Intelligence features for developers to try out, such as:
The ability to generate emojis with Genmoji
Create images with Image Playground
More AI-powered writing features
Integration with ChatGPT
Visual Intelligence to search with your camera on iPhone 16 phones and more.
Even more exciting is that Apple Intelligence is now supported in more regions with this beta release.
For those who aren't in the know, iOS 18.2 will bring users a whole new set of Apple Intelligence features.
The first batch, featuring things like a smarter Siri and notification summaries, will launch next week with the official release of iOS 18.1.
However, some of the highly anticipated features are still missing.
We're talking about the one that would let Siri understand what's happening on your iPhone's screen and take action based on your requests – it's still not here, even in iOS 18.2.
But hey, when Apple unveiled its plans for Apple Intelligence features at WWDC 2024 in June, it mentioned that the updates would roll out in stages.
So, we'll just have to be patient—good things come to those who wait, right?

🧐 Detecting AI-generated text Just Got Easier - Here’s How!

Google has just made its SynthID Text available to everyone, and trust me, this is a big deal—it could shake up how we handle AI-generated content in the future.
So, what is SynthID?
It is Google’s watermarking technology that allows developers to tag and detect AI-generated text.
Imagine you ask an AI, “What’s your favorite fruit?”
The AI doesn’t just spit out "apple" or "mango" at random; it picks each word (or “token”) carefully by calculating or predicting how likely it is to follow the previous one.
What the tool does is slip in there and tweak these predictions ever so subtly to create a hidden “watermark” in the text—without messing up the actual response.
It’s like giving the text an invisible tattoo that screams, “Yep, AI wrote this!”
And the best part? Google claims the watermark is tough to erase even if the text is paraphrased or cropped.
But hey, it’s not all perfect.
Short texts or factual answers like "What’s the capital of France?" are trickier as there’s less wiggle room for watermarking because, well, Paris is always going to be Paris.
Also, if the text gets rewritten or translated, then SynthID might struggle too.
But get this: While Google’s been quietly using SynthID Text in its Gemini models for a while, they’re not the only ones in the watermarking race.
OpenAI is also experimenting with it, though they haven’t rolled out anything official yet.
The big idea here is that watermarking could help fight against those frustrating AI detectors that tend to wrongly accuse you of writing your essay like a robot.
Plus, governments are getting involved, too.
China has already made AI-generated content watermarking mandatory, and California is also considering it.
With an estimated 90% of online content expected to be AI-generated by 2026, this watermarking thing could become the norm.
So, as the internet starts to look like one giant AI-written novel, watermarking might just be the trick to help us figure out what’s written by humans and what’s brought to you by your friendly neighborhood AI.

🤖ChatGPT Prompt Of The Day: To Track Project Milestones
Tracking project milestones is essential for staying on course.
When you track milestones, everyone involved knows exactly what needs to be done and by when, and that clarity helps maintain focus.
Here's a prompt that can help you with that.
I need someone to track and document the milestones achieved in an ongoing project. This includes noting key accomplishments, deadlines met, and any deviations from the project plan. This information will be used to evaluate progress, identify areas for improvement, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Your task is to regularly update the project milestone tracker with accurate and up-to-date information.
