This is the Automated, your AI tour guide.
Meta is pushing the boundaries of what's possible with AI, but even they are so scared of the potential risk of misuse with their latest AI model.
Here’s what we got for you today:

🗣️ Will Meta release Voicebox?
Meta has announced a new AI model called Voicebox.
This AI model can:
Generate speech in six languages from samples as short as two seconds.
Produce high-quality audio clips and edit pre-recorded audio — like removing car horns or a dog barking — all while preserving the content and style of the audio.
Perform speech generation tasks — like editing, sampling and stylizing — that it wasn’t specifically trained to do through in-context learning.
However, Meta has decided not to release Voicebox to the public (at least not yet).
Here's their official statement:
There are many exciting use cases for generative speech models, but because of the potential risks of misuse, we are not making the Voicebox model or code publicly available at this time.
Meta only released a video of Voicebox giving an intro about itself.
Who knows when or if we'll ever see this tool in action?
In the meantime, Voicebox remains a research project, hidden away in the secret depths of Meta's labs.😀
But hopefully, they'll unleash this linguistic wonder upon the world soon.🤞
🖥️ Copilot: The Future of Programming!
GitHub’s AI tool (Copilot) is transforming the coding profession and shaping the future of programming.
By simply pressing the tab key, a developer using Copilot can finish a line, generate blocks of code, or even write an entire program.
Over 10,000 organizations, including big names like Coca-Cola and Airbnb have signed up for Copilot’s enterprise version.
In a recent interview, Thomas Dohmke, the CEO of GitHub noted that on average Copilot helps those organizations write 46% of the code in those files where it's enabled.
He also noted that this number will soon rise to 80%.
In the interview, Thomas said something fascinating, he said:
The skills of the developer will be to figure out, ‘How small do I have to go until I can leverage AI to synthesize that code for me?
Do you agree? hit reply and let me know.
😯 AI-powered Church Service in Germany Draws a Large Crowd
Over 300 people attended an experimental church service in Germany featuring an AI-powered sermon delivered through avatars on a screen.
Yes, you heard that right.😃
The service was organized by Jonas Simmerlein, a theologian and philosopher.
And 98% of the service was generated by the OpenAI's ChatGPT chatbot while Simmerlein guided it to include prayers, psalms, and a blessing.
Now, before you start worrying about your pastor being replaced by a chatbot, fear not!
Simmerlein assured that the goal was not to replace religious leaders but to utilize AI as a tool.
For example, AI could provide ideas for upcoming sermons, or it could expedite the sermon-writing process.
That’s not so bad now, is it? 🤔
But of course, there's always a catch.
Parishioners might end up hearing unintentionally novel interpretations of religious doctrine because, let's face it, AI can sometimes make things up.🙄
This is unchartered territory but we can’t wait to see the development that will come from AI exploration in religion.😉
If you're curious, you can find out more details about how the service went here.
