🦾 1.13B Reasons AI’s Your New Traffic Lifeline

Remember when everyone swore AI was going to kill website traffic? Well, turns out the “grim reaper” might actually be playing delivery guy.

According to fresh numbers from Similarweb, AI platforms sent 1.13 billion referrals to the world’s top 1,000 websites in June 2025 — that’s a mind‑blowing 357% jump from last year.

Of course, Google’s still untouchable with its 191 billion referrals, but AI is quietly carving out its own lane.

The biggest surprise? News and media sites.

Their AI‑driven traffic spiked a jaw‑dropping 770% year‑over‑year, with Yahoo (2.3M), Yahoo Japan (1.9M), Reuters (1.8M), The Guardian (1.7M), India Times (1.2M), and Business Insider (1.0M) at the top of the list.

Meanwhile, AI‑blocking holdouts like The New York Times are, well… watching from the sidelines.

E‑commerce isn’t missing out either — Amazon raked in 4.5M AI referrals, followed by Etsy (2.0M) and eBay (1.8M).

Over in tech and social, the biggest AI‑traffic magnets were Google (53.1M), Reddit (11.1M), Facebook (11.0M), GitHub (7.4M), Microsoft (5.1M), Canva (5.0M), Instagram (4.7M), LinkedIn (4.4M), Bing (3.1M), and Pinterest (2.5M)

Other categories had their own standouts too: YouTube saw (31.2M), ResearchGate (3.6M), Wikipedia (10.8M), NIH.gov (5.2M), Europa.eu (992.9K), Investing.com (1.2M), Home Depot (1.2M), Zillow (776.2K), Kayak (456.5K), and Zara (325.6K).

And here’s the kicker: ChatGPT alone accounts for over 80% of all AI referrals, leaving the likes of Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, and Grok behind.

So maybe all those dire predictions about “Google Zero” — the day Google stops sending traffic — were a bit overblown and AI isn’t just taking clicks away; it’s actually handing some back.

In short: This isn’t the apocalypse everyone feared, it’s just a sign that the game is changing. Publishers and marketers are better off thinking of it as a new game, not the endgame.

👨‍⚖️ Trump’s Deregulation Dream Gets an AI Upgrade

Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency is on a mission to give Washington’s rulebook the biggest AI declutter ever.

DOGE, as it’s famously called, has unleashed an AI “Deregulation Decision Tool” built to tear through a staggering 200,000 federal regulations and build what they’re calling a “delete list.”

The ultimate goal? Slash half of all U.S. regulations by the first anniversary of Trump’s second term.

And get this: Early tests already flagged around 100,000 rules for the chopping block. Plus, agencies like HUD and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau have been early testers, letting AI handle hundreds—sometimes all—of their deregulation calls.

Now, this isn’t exactly shocking. Trump’s been loud about red tape “driving up prices” and campaigned on delivering the most aggressive regulatory cuts in U.S. history. Still, few expected this AI blitz to become his fastest route to that promise.

Officially, the White House is calling it “creative early‑stage work,” but DOGE insists this is the beginning of a total government efficiency makeover.

Whether this turns out to be a breakthrough in efficiency or leaves us completely speechless is anyone’s guess—but one thing’s clear: we’re in for quite the show.

🤖 ChatGPT Prompt Of The Day: Make Any Concept Fun and Simple

Ever tried to explain something tricky—like how the internet works or what gravity is—to a curious kid? It's not always easy! But when you can do it, it means you truly understand the concept yourself.

This prompt turns ChatGPT into your playful, patient explainer who makes complex ideas feel like storytime. Whether you're a teacher, marketer, writer, or just trying to simplify a big idea, this prompt helps break down hard topics using kid-friendly language, playful analogies, and questions that keep things fun and engaging.

How to Use This Prompt Effectively:

  1. Pick your concept wisely. It can be anything—from “how the internet works” to “what inflation means.”

  2. Focus on one clear message. Don’t try to cover everything—just the core idea, simply.

  3. Keep it playful and short. Aim for 200–300 words max. Add emojis if you like!

  4. Use it to check your understanding. If ChatGPT can explain it like a kid’s bedtime story, you’re golden.

  5. Try follow-up variations: Get ChatGPT to: make it sound like in a comic book or turn it into a short poem or song.

Here’s the prompt:

You are an expert explainer who’s amazing at teaching complicated things in a fun and simple way. I want you to explain [INSERT CONCEPT] like you're talking to a curious 10-year-old.

Use:

-Simple everyday words
-Fun and playful analogies that relate to a child's world
-A friendly and warm tone
-Occasional questions to keep their attention
=A clear beginning, middle, and end

Optional Extras (Add as needed):

-Include a silly joke related to the topic.
-End with a question that makes them think deeper.
-Turn the whole thing into a short illustrated comic idea or bedtime story.

Your explanation should be no more than 300 words. Make it feel like a little story or adventure. If it helps, you can use emojis or kid-friendly examples to make things more exciting.
