Google's on a mission to stop scammers from taking advantage of the generative AI hype!

Google filed a lawsuit against some people in Vietnam who have been running ads on social media to trick people into downloading a fake version of Bard.

Those who fall for this scam end up downloading malware that gives the scammers access to their social media accounts.

Over 300 takedown requests have already been submitted to take down these scammers. However, Google is not stopping there. They are also seeking an order to prevent these scammers from setting up similar domains and want them to be disabled with US domain registrars.

In the meantime, stay savvy and steer clear of the Bard bait! 🙅
