😲 Trump supporters use AI-generated deepfakes to target black voters!

Ever thought a photo could sway your vote? Don’t be too quick to say no!

There are dozens of AI-generated deepfakes with black people who are supposedly supporting Trump in the upcoming US election all over social media.

And get this – these fakes seem to be coming from fellow US voters who support Trump, not his official campaign crew. 

One of them was Mark Kaye and his team at a conservative radio show in Florida, who not only created a fake image of Trump smiling with his arms around a group of black women at a party but shared it on Facebook with one million followers. Pretty shocking right?

But even more shocking is that some people thought it was real despite all the signs (Shiny skin and missing fingers).

And when called out on it, he said:

Another trending AI image has Mr. Trump posing with black voters on a front porch with a caption falsely claiming that he had stopped his motorcade to meet these people. (check out the image here)

You might be thinking, "Shouldn't these folks get in trouble for spreading this stuff?"

Well, the lack of solid laws around this makes it a bit tricky, but one thing's for sure: If we don't get a handle on this, the 2024 presidential election could be a total circus that leads to chaos.

🤝Tech Giants Unite for Responsible AI!

The tech industry is once again drawing attention to building responsible AI, and guess what?

It’s coming just days after Elon Musk sued OpenAI for putting profits ahead of their original mission!

OpenAI, Salesforce, and other tech companies have signed an open letter calling for a “collective responsibility” to “maximize AI’s benefits and mitigate the risks” to society.

However, the letter doesn’t list any specific actions on how to actually build responsible AI or mitigate the risks associated with it. 

So, what then is the point of this letter?

Is this letter a genuine attempt to promote responsible AI, or could it be a media ploy to stop Elon Musk?
