😲 DPD Chatbot Goes Rogue!

Have you ever had an AI chatbot go off-script? London's parcel delivery firm, DPD, experienced this firsthand; the story is hilarious!

A customer, Beauchamp, got fed up with the DFD's AI customer service chatbot and asked it to crack a joke and compose a poem about its own uselessness.

What happened next shocked everyone!

The bot not only compiled but also laced its responses with profanity, branding DPD as the "worst delivery firm in the world."

Beauchamp shared screenshots of the chat conversation on X (formerly Twitter). The post quickly went viral, receiving 1.8 million views, and over 25k likes.

This has undoubtedly created bad press for DPD, but they were quick to respond and attributed the glitch to a system update on Thursday, Jan 18, reassuring users that the AI hiccup had been addressed.

Arizona State University (ASU) and OpenAI are joining forces to bring ChatGPT on campus! Yes, you read that right 😀

Starting in February, ASU is launching an open challenge for its faculty and staff to brainstorm innovative ways to utilize ChatGPT, focusing on student success, research, and organizational efficiency.

And that’s not all!

Full-time employees at ASU will also be provided with ChatGPT Enterprise accounts, which perform the same tasks as ChatGPT, such as writing emails, debugging computer code, and drafting essays, but also add enhanced performance, privacy features, data analysis capabilities, and customization options.

With this partnership, OpenAI has gained its first higher education customer and taken a strategic step toward responsible and scalable integration of AI in education.
