🤩 ChatGPT Introduces Archive Feature!

OpenAI's ChatGPT just rolled out a new “Archive Chat” feature that allows you to keep your old conversations neatly tucked away from your sidebar without having to delete them.

Simply select any of the old conversations in the sidebar (to the left), tap the three-dotted icon, hit "Archive chat," and poof! It's neatly stored away in Settings.

To access your archived chats in Settings, all you need to do is:

• Go to “profile name” in the bottom left corner, and tap on settings.

• In settings, click on “Archived Chats” to find specific conversations.

• Plus, you can resume an archived chat session with ChatGPT at exactly the point it was last left, but you must first unarchive it to continue the conversation. (The green 'unarchive' button will be displayed at the bottom center).

For now, the Archive Chat feature is available on iOS and Windows, with Android coming soon.

First up is the free tier, perfect for personal and research use. Next is the $20/month plan that caters to creators, startups, and developers, and last is the Enterprise options, which are now available too.

Surprisingly, all members, regardless of their tier, get early access to cutting-edge AI models, but the real deal for commercial use is exclusively reserved for paid tiers.

This strategic move is all about finding the sweet spot between profitability and openness while redefining how users secure commercial rights and fueling future R&D.

While these changes unfold, rest assured that Stability AI remains steadfast in its commitment to open models, ensuring continued access for everyone.

Yet, the online buzz reveals confusion about what exactly constitutes commercial use. Is it limited to generative AI services, or does anyone using Stable Diffusion-generated images commercially need to pay a fee?

Complicating matters is the absence of copyright protection for AI-generated work, making its value less certain.

CEO Emad Mostaque acknowledges on ‘X’ that pricing is still a work in progress. So we’re hopeful that clarity will emerge as the company develops a format that’ll both be profitable for them and valuable for paying users.
