Chinese tech giant Baidu just officially rolled out its chatbot. It's called “Ernie Bot”.

Like ChatGPT, users can ask Ernie Bot questions or prompt it to help write market analysis, give marketing slogan ideas, and summarize documents.

It's only available for download in China's app stores or Baidu’s website.

Impressively, it gained over 1 million users within its first 19 hours, and there's no sign of slowing down.

Baidu is also taking things a step further:

• They've opened a plug-in market for Ernie Bot, promising even more exciting functionality.

• There are plans to launch “a suite of new AI-native apps that allow users to fully experience the four core abilities of generative AI: understanding, generation, reasoning, and memory.”
