🎙️ChatGPT’s Advanced Voice Mode Now on The Web!
OpenAI launched its ChatGPT’s Advanced Voice Mode for iOS and Android apps in September, and now it's coming to the web!
Kevin Weil, OpenAI's chief product officer, shared the announcement on X.
This means you can now have natural, real-time conversations with ChatGPT right from your browser.
To start a voice conversation on the web, you just need to:
Click the Voice icon on the bottom-right of ChatGPT’s prompt window
Grant your browser access to your computer’s microphone.
Choose from nine unique voices, like "Arbor," which is “easygoing and versatile," or "Ember," which is “confident and optimistic.”
Once you initiate a voice conversation, you'll be taken to a screen with a captivating blue orb at the center. That’s it—easy peasy.
You’ll also be glad to know that the chatbot can respond with emotion, understand, and respond to verbal cues like your talking speed.
Eager to give it a try?
This fantastic feature is available exclusively for Plus, Enterprise, Teams, and Edu subscribers.
But don’t worry—free users can access it with a monthly preview!
Just remember, users with Plus and Team subscriptions will have daily limits when using this Advanced Voice Mode.
According to the feature's help page, those limits may change, but you’ll receive a heads-up when you’re down to your last 15 minutes of advanced voice for the day.

🤩 Google’s Gemini gets a Memory Feature!
Google’s Gemini chatbot is stepping up its game with a new “Memory” feature.
Like ChatGPT’s memory, it lets the bot remember key details like info about your life, work, and personal preferences and use them to tailor its responses.
Imagine telling Gemini about your favorite foods, and when next you ask for a restaurant recommendation, it suggests places that align with your culinary tastes.
How awesome would that be?
Posters on X and Google’s official account flagged the new feature, which has already begun rolling out to certain Gemini users.
Those users include subscribers to Google’s $20-per-month Google One AI Premium plan.
Unfortunately, it is not yet available on the Gemini apps for iOS and Android—just the web client.
Plus, it supports only English-language prompts for now.
On the upside, you’ll be pleased to know that memories can be turned off anytime; however, memories are stored until manually deleted.
Google also assures that the information you save won’t be shared or used to train its models.
But be warned, there are still some risks!
Earlier this year, a security researcher uncovered vulnerabilities in ChatGPT’s memory, where hackers could plant false data to steal a user’s data.
