💃 OpenAI Unwraps ChatGPT Search for All Users!
ChatGPT’s search engine is rolling out to everyone!
Yes, everyone, including free users. No paywall, no VIP badge needed as long as you’ve got an account and stay logged in, you’re in!
But OpenAI isn’t stopping there. They’ve spruced up ChatGPT Search to look a lot more like your typical search engine, especially on mobile.
Say you’re hunting for a cool restaurant or a must-see tourist spot; ChatGPT won’t just toss you a bland, one-size-fits-all response.
Nope, it’ll serve up a polished list of options complete with images, ratings, hours, and even directions on a map—all baked right into the app.
And if you’re looking for something specific, like “hotel booking sites”, ChatGPT now gets straight to the point.
Instead of spinning its wheels with a long-winded answer, it’ll throw you relevant links first so you can dive in and get what you need. Time saved, sanity preserved.
Oh, and for the folks on paid plans, Advanced Voice Mode just got even fancier.
It can now pull real-time, up-to-the-second info from the web and deliver it with the slickness of your very own AI assistant.
By default, ChatGPT decides when to fire up its Search feature, but if you’re a control freak (no judgment), there’s a new “Search the web” button for you to take charge.
And guess what else? You can even set ChatGPT Search as your default browser search engine.
Yes, you can officially dethrone Google, Bing, or whoever’s currently ruling your search empire.
But of course, not everyone’s celebrating, In fact publishers are giving OpenAI some serious side-eye.
Tools like ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, and Google’s AI Overviews have them worried AI search will swipe traffic straight from their sites.
And it’s not just paranoia—a study found Google’s AI Overviews alone could slash web traffic by up to 25%. Ouch.
But OpenAI insists they’re playing fair, though.
They say they’ve been listening to feedback and tweaking how ChatGPT Search decides which articles are relevant, how long summaries should be, and how to properly credit sources.
So, what’s the big picture here?
OpenAI is diving headfirst into search, making ChatGPT smarter, faster, and honestly... way cooler for users.
If you’re a publisher, it might feel like the AI’s stealing your lunch.
But for the rest of us? Getting answers just got a whole lot easier, and maybe—just maybe—Google’s starting to sweat a little.
Now, this all came out of OpenAI’s festive “12 Days of Ship-mas” livestream, where they teased even more goodies for the holidays. So, if you’re curious, there’s plenty more to unwrap right here!

🤩 Google DeepMind Unviels Veo 2!
Who needs popcorn? Google DeepMind’s Veo 2 has arrived, turning heads with its ability to generate jaw-dropping, two-minute-plus clips in glorious 4K.
That’s 4x the resolution and 6x the duration of OpenAI’s Sora — an AI video showdown has officially begun.
For now, there’s a catch.
In Google’s experimental tool VideoFX, where Veo 2 lives, videos are capped at 720p and a mere eight seconds. (Sora still has the edge here with 20-second clips at 1080p.)
But don’t worry — Google promises more users will get access soon, and the upgrades are coming fast.
What makes Veo 2 special?
This next-gen model offers better everything: sharper textures, smoother motion, and precise camera controls that can capture scenes from cinematic angles.
From realistic reflections and flowing liquids to Pixar-style animations, Veo 2 is pushing creative boundaries even if a few quirks, like weird eyes and slippery roads, still pop up.
But DeepMind isn’t stopping there.
Veo 2 will soon hit Google’s Vertex AI platform, scaling its magic to developers everywhere.
And for those who prefer still images, DeepMind’s Imagen 3 just got an upgrade, too, delivering richer details and styles that range from photorealism to anime.
The battle for AI creativity is heating up, and Google’s latest moves have made it a must-watch showdown.
