Today’s AI platter comes with: corporate polyamory on the side, courtroom chaos for spice, and — believe it or not — a surprising obsession with PowerPoint aesthetics.

Lets dive in.

💪 Microsoft Offsets Its OpenAI Dependence With Anthropic in New AI Play

Y’all, Anthropic just dropped a two-for-one headline special — one’s champagne-worthy, the other’s more… Advil-adjacent.

Let’s start with the good stuff:

Microsoft — yup, OpenAI’s $13B sugar daddy — is reportedly ready to slip Claude into the whole Office 365 fam. Think Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint… basically every app where you’re slogging through your 9-to-5.

And why? Rumor has it some Microsoft execs think Claude Sonnet 4 makes prettier slides than anything OpenAI’s been serving. Wild, right?

But don’t get it twisted — Microsoft isn’t dumping OpenAI. Copilot and Azure are still their main squeeze. This is more like… an open relationship. (Polyamory, but with AI models.) And if you zoom out, the strategy clicks: Redmond doesn’t wanna be tied to just one horse. That’s why they’re also raising their own babies — MAI-1 and MAI-Voice-1.

Meanwhile, OpenAI’s not exactly sitting on the sidelines. They’re busy:

  • Cooking up a LinkedIn killer.

  • Partnering with Broadcom to crank out custom chips by 2026

  • Tag-teaming with Google Cloud for extra TPU firepower.

Basically, both camps are making sure if the other ghosts, nobody’s left crying in the server room.

Now for Anthropic’s migraine: remember that $1.5B settlement they dangled in front of authors accusing them of training on pirated books? A judge just hit pause.

Why? He thinks the deal smells fishy— like lawyers cutting backroom deals while authors get strong-armed into a “take it or leave it” payout.

For context: authors were slated to snag about $3K per book. However, Judge Alsup isn’t entirely convinced that’s justice. So next hearing: Sept. 25.

Our Take:

Microsoft’s move isn’t betrayal — it’s insurance. They just want the best AI for the job, even if that means playing the field. And honestly, this isn’t even new territory: GitHub Copilot already lets you pick between xAI’s Grok and Anthropic’s Claude. So yeah, “branching out” is kind of their thing.

And if you zoom out, the real headline is this: nobody’s betting on a single “AI king” anymore. Microsoft wants options. OpenAI wants independence. Anthropic wants legitimacy.

In short: the AI game is no longer about one crown, it’s a portfolio play. Enterprises will cherry-pick models for strengths, not loyalty. That means more choices for businesses, and way more headaches for regulators, authors, and anyone side-eyeing training data.

So yeah, Microsoft gets options. OpenAI builds autonomy. Anthropic scores credibility. And if you’re an enterprise or power user? Congrats — you’re about to have a buffet of AIs competing to make your decks look prettier.

🎥 Google Slashes Veo 3 Prices and Goes Vertical

While OpenAI’s off chasing its Hollywood blockbuster dreams, Google’s over here doing the unsexy but actually useful work: making its AI video model Veo 3 cheaper, sharper, and TikTok-ready.

So what’s new?

  1. Finally. Veo 3 (and its budget-friendly twin, Veo 3 Fast) can spit out 9:16 vertical clips that slot straight into TikTok, Shorts, and Reels.

  2. Veo’s bumped up from 720p to 1080p. The catch? That only applies to widescreen (16:9). But hey, progress is progress.

  3. This one’s the real mic-drop. Veo 3’s price per second plunged from $0.75 to $0.40, while Veo 3 Fast nosedived from $0.40 to $0.15. That’s nearly a 50% discount — and the wild part? The demo ads and sample clips look insane. Seriously, check them out here, here, and here.

Oh, and Google stamped these tools as “stable and ready for scaled production use in the Gemini API”. Translation: it’s go-time.

The takeaway:

Google doesn’t care about Oscars — they care about your feed. By slashing prices and leaning into verticals, they’re setting Veo up to flood TikTok, Insta, and Shorts with AI-made clips.

The upside? More devs will tinker, which could mean cooler tools and creative use cases. The downside? Get ready for an avalanche of AI filler clogging your scroll.

Also, vertical video still isn’t in full HD… which is awkward, considering it’s the one format everyone actually cares about.

In short: while OpenAI’s chasing prestige cinema, Google’s gunning for your page. And honestly? Owning the algorithm might be the bigger win.

🤖 ChatGPT Prompt Of The Day: Master Live Interviews with AI

Ever wish you could step into the hot seat and face a real interviewer without the stakes of an actual interview?

This prompt turns ChatGPT into your personal interview simulator, giving you realistic questions, instant feedback, and actionable tips to refine every answer.

Think of it as a virtual rehearsal room where you can practice, experiment, and perfect your delivery until you’re confident, sharp, and interview-ready.

Here’s How To Use This Prompt Effectively:

  1. Set the Scene: Begin by providing the context for the interview—name the broadcast, show, or company, and describe the role or topic. Example: “I’m being interviewed on a tech podcast about AI in healthcare.”

  2. Answer Naturally: Respond to each question as if it’s real. Speak your thoughts aloud or type your answers verbatim. Treat this as a safe space to experiment with phrasing, tone, and storytelling.

  3. Iterate & Improve: Revise your answers based on the feedback and try again.

  4. Ask for advanced tips: Request additional coaching for body language cues, phrasing improvements, or storytelling techniques for maximum impact in real-life interviews.

  5. Build Confidence Over Time: Use this prompt repeatedly to track your progress, sharpen your responses, and gain the confidence you need to shine in the actual interview.

💡Prompt to Apply:

"Simulate an interview with [broadcast name or type]. You will act as the interviewer, asking relevant and realistic questions. I will respond as the interviewee. After each of my responses, provide detailed feedback covering: clarity, tone, confidence, conciseness, and impact. Suggest actionable improvements and tips for making my answers more effective. Keep the simulation engaging, realistic, and structured like an actual interview. Ask follow-up questions as needed to challenge me and refine my responses."
