Apple just dropped its 2025 App Store Award winners, and guess what? Even though they still won’t hand out an official “AI App of the Year,” AI is literally everywhere.

We’re talking apps that plan your day, edit your videos, recommend your next book, and even help blind users navigate the world.

Apple isn’t saying the word AI, but it’s quietly stealing the show behind almost every trophy.

Here's what we have for you today

🏆 Apple App Store Awards 2025: Full Winners List and the AI Trend Behind Them

Alright team… Apple just dropped its 2025 App Store Awards, and I swear they’re playing a game of “How many AI-powered apps can we celebrate without actually admitting they’re AI-powered?”

Spoiler: basically all of them.

Let’s run through the winners because the pattern here is chef’s-kiss obvious.

Starting with the iPhone App of the Year: Tiimo.

Apple calls it a cute visual planner. But in reality? It’s working harder than half the productivity gurus on YouTube.

You toss it your chaotic to-do list, and its AI instantly turns it into a timeline that actually makes sense. It estimates how long stuff takes, breaks big tasks into steps, and adjusts when life inevitably derails.

It’s giving: “Your brain, but optimized.”

On iPad, the big winner is Detail, which is basically built for creators who want editor-level polish without… you know… editing.

Its AI trims silence, adds zoom cuts, slaps on captions, and builds your whole video while you’re still deciding if you like the thumbnail.

It works so fast it feels… slightly illegal.

  • Then there’s Strava, Apple Watch App of the Year, now rocking an AI assistant that reads your workout data and breaks it down like a friend who actually understands fitness science.

  • StoryGraph got a Cultural Impact award with machine-learning book recommendations that are shockingly accurate and refreshingly sensible.

  • Be My Eyes continues to absolutely lead in accessibility with an AI assistant that describes objects, scenes, text, and basically anything in front of the camera for blind and low-vision users.

And here’s the hilarious part:

Apple refuses to name an “AI App or Chatbot of the Year,” yet AI is literally holding the trophy in the group photo, because every major winner is powered by AI under the hood.

If you ask me, It’s like giving bakery awards while pretending bread doesn’t exist. Iconic, right?

Well that’s not all… the rest of the lineup includes:

Plus, a whole stack of Cultural Impact picks, including:

Now before we call it a day, here’s what Apple’s awards teach us about building apps that actually win:

  1. Solve specific problems: Users love clear, practical solutions.

  2. Integrate AI thoughtfully: AI should enhance, not overpower the core app experience.

  3. Design for multiple platforms: Seamless performance across devices is key.

  4. Prioritize accessibility: Inclusive design isn’t just right, it’s smart business.

  5. Focus on user experience: Even the most advanced tech needs intuitive interfaces.

Bottom line: the most successful apps—mobile or desktop—don’t just show off features. They solve real problems, work everywhere, and quietly make life better.

So what’s the real takeaway this year?

AI isn't just the headline… it’s the infrastructure.

It’s the electricity powering all the apps that feel “magical” without ever needing a giant “AI” sticker slapped on top.

Apple’s showing us that the next era of mobile apps is not AI as a product you download… but AI as an upgrade to everything you already use. Integrated so deeply that you stop noticing where the intelligence ends and the app begins.

In all, this year’s App Store Awards are basically Apple tapping us on the shoulder and whispering:

“Hey… AI’s in your planner. In your workouts. In your books. In your camera roll. In your accessibility tools. Everywhere. Not flashy. Just useful.”

So tell me: is this the kind of future you’d want… and root for?

Because ready or not… it’s already here.

🤖 AI Workout Of The Day: How to Evaluate AI Personality and Conversational Flow

AI isn’t just about facts and tasks, it’s also about vibe.

Comparing ChatGPT, Gemini, and DeepSeek on casual chats shows which model feels more like talking to a human friend versus a robot reading from a script. For anyone using AI for social interaction, companionship, or conversational interfaces, this test highlights which AI actually nails natural flow and personality.

How to Make This Prompt Work Effectively

  1. Set the Scene: Ask the AI to imagine itself as a human friend to encourage natural responses.

  2. Test Multiple Scenarios: Try topics like weekend plans, hobbies, or pop culture to see adaptability.

  3. Encourage Personality: Prompt the AI to ask questions and show curiosity, humor, or warmth.

  4. Allow Flexibility: Let the AI take the lead sometimes to see if it maintains natural flow.

  5. Compare Across Models: Evaluate which AI feels less scripted, more engaging, more spontaneous and more human-like.

PS: The live side-by-side comparison of ChatGPT, Gemini, and DeepSeek tackling this task is exclusive to our premium subscribers. If you want in on the AI showdown, now’s the time to upgrade.

Prompts to try:

"Let’s have a casual conversation. Imagine you’re a human friend chatting with me about weekend plans and hobbies. Ask me questions, share your own thoughts, and show personality in your responses. Keep the conversation natural and flowing, like two friends genuinely catching up. Use humor, curiosity, or relatable observations where appropriate, and respond in a way that encourages me to continue the chat. Avoid sounding robotic or overly formal, and make sure the dialogue feels like a real back-and-forth exchange between friends."
