💃 Exciting AI Upgrades for Samsung Appliances!
Samsung is taking smart home tech up a notch with fresh AI features for its appliances!
They’re bringing “AI-generated wallpapers” to their Family Hub refrigerators released in the US and Korea after 2022.
And creating these wallpapers is super easy!
You just have to pick a theme from seven categories and one of six art styles, and ta-da, your new wallpaper is ready to go!
It can go on your fridge’s cover screen or whiteboard, or you can save it in an album for later use—the choice is yours.
Just remember, you'll need a Wi-Fi connection and can only create up to five wallpapers daily.
But that's not all - an upgraded Bixby is coming your way!
This new and improved Bixby will understand complex commands, remember your previous conversations, and even answer troubleshooting questions.
Picture this: you can ask your washing machine what time dinner is, and when it answers that, you can follow up by asking it to have the laundry done an hour before that.
You can even ask Bixby about error codes or strange noises your refrigerator might be making, and it will have the answers.
All of this is possible according to the examples Samsung listed.
But the catch is that this Bixby upgrade will only be on five Samsung Bespoke appliances, starting today!
So, which ones are they? Click here to find out!
🤯 Anthropic releases ‘system prompts’ behind Claude!
If you've stayed with us this far, it's definitely because you're as crazy about AI as we are.
But have you ever stopped to think about what drives those smart and humanlike chatbots? Beyond their seemingly intelligent responses?
Well, the truth is, they're not actually intelligent or capable of thinking for themselves — They're just statistical systems that predict what word comes next in a sentence.
But what's interesting is that these models are programmed with "system prompts" that tell them how to behave and what to say (or not say).
It's like a set of instructions that shapes their personality and tone.
But here's the thing: Most AI companies keep these prompts a secret.
However, Anthropic wants to be seen as more transparent and ethical and has decided to open its secret recipe book.
So, they've published the system prompts for their latest models, and let me tell you, it's pretty fascinating stuff!
We've added a new system prompts release notes section to our docs. We're going to log changes we make to the default system prompts on Claude dot ai and our mobile apps. (The system prompt does not affect the API.)

The prompts reveal what the models can and can't do. For example, they can't open URLs or recognize faces.
They also describe the personality traits the models should have, like being smart, curious, and impartial.
It's like a character analysis for an actor, but instead of playing a role, the model is playing a persona.
What's striking about these prompts is how they shape the model's behavior. They're like a set of guidelines that ensure the model responds in a certain way.
And it's not just about what the model says - it's also about what it doesn't say.
For example, the prompt for one of Anthropic's models instructs it to never start a response with the words "certainly" or "absolutely".
So, what does this mean for the AI industry?
By publishing these prompts, Anthropic is setting a precedent for transparency in the AI industry.
They're saying, "Hey, we have nothing to hide. Here's how we program our models," and with that, they’re low-key putting pressure on other companies to do the same.
However, this level of transparency means we can finally get a glimpse into how these models are programmed and what biases might be built into them.
It also means we can hold AI companies accountable for how they design their models.
What do you think? Should more AI companies be more transparent about how they program their models?
