🤯 Google Assistant and Alexa Unite in new JBL Authentics Speakers!
Google and Amazon have been competing fiercely in the voice assistant space, but times have changed!
Now, Google Assistant and Alexa will work interchangeably for the first time ever on the new JBL Authentics 200, 300, and 500 speakers.
You can ask Alexa to set a timer and then tell Google Assistant to stop it.
(This works for other tasks, like reminders, music, and alarms).
Oh, and don’t worry about any confusion — They won't talk over each other, ensuring a smooth interaction.
Even more surprising is that both AI giants aren’t concerned about the integration. They believe it to complement each other, offering a better customer experience.
However, it seems this collaboration might be a one-time thing, depending on how it's received.
The speakers will be available starting September 17, but until then, you can find more info here.
🌏 Google's SGE Expands Globally!

Its new AI-powered search feature, Search Generative Experience (SGE), expands beyond the US, starting with India and Japan.
In Japan, you can use generative AI in your local language.
India, on the other hand, supports both English and Hindi, with a “voice input feature” that allows you to speak queries instead of typing them and then listen to the responses.
However, both countries will continue to display search ads in dedicated ad slots.
But here's the real gem:
Alongside these launches, SGE introduces an arrow icon next to the AI-generated info that lets you see the web sources behind the AI's answers, making your search journey smoother.

This feature is rolling out first in the U.S. but will soon sail to India and Japan.
To try SGE, head to the Search Labs section of the Google app on Android and iOS or Chrome on the desktop.
