🚀 Google’s Gemini-Powered “Vids” App!
Earlier this year, Google announced the Gemini-powered “Vids app,” its next big productivity tool that lets you create video presentations using a prompt.
With Vids, you can upload relevant documents, slides, and video recordings onto the app’s timeline, and it generates sleek presentation videos that you can share with your team.
Plus, the app can create AI voiceovers if you’re not keen on speaking.
According to Google, the tool can help turn customer support articles into videos, make training videos, share company announcements, create meeting recaps and more.
Now, who wouldn't want that?😀
The good news is that the tool is already available to users; It will be available by default for Workspace organizations with access.
But if you dont have it just yet, dont panic.
For some users, it could take more than 15 days to appear, and once you do get it, please bear in mind that there may be some limitations in the future.
Google has noted that usage limits may apply to features like “Help Me Create” and AI voiceovers in 2026.
Also, AI features such as “Help Me Create” and the “read-along teleprompter” are currently only available in English.
However, aside from those, the app supports multiple languages.

🚫 U.S. Blocks TSMC’s AI Chip Sales to China!
Remember that chip export ban the U.S. slapped on advanced tech headed to China? Well, they weren’t messing around.
They recently hit the brakes on chip shipments from Taiwan's TSMC to China after one of their advanced chips turned up inside a Huawei processor.
Given Huawei’s strict U.S. trade restrictions, this little discovery had officials doing a double-take.
Now, the U.S. wants to make sure no sneaky workarounds are funneling these high-powered chips into Huawei’s hands.
So, starting Monday, TSMC told customers it’s halting shipments of these prized chips—especially the ones used for AI.
Why does it matter?
These advanced chips are like rocket fuel for AI, an area where the U.S. has already drawn a firm line, especially with companies like Nvidia.
And with chips now at the forefront of tech rivalry, the U.S. clearly isn’t in the mood to share its AI edge.
