🥳 Microsoft Finally Rolls Out Recall AI!
After a few delays (and probably some marathon meetings about security), Microsoft is finally rolling out the first preview of its Recall AI feature for Copilot Plus PCs.
Still remember what Recall AI is, right? Well, it’s designed to jog your memory!
You can think of it as part genius assistant, part personal detective, or more of a digital memory lane thing for your PC.
It works by quietly taking screenshots of (almost) everything you do to create a searchable history of your activities.
Basically, it’s like having your own personalized Google, but cooler and only for your stuff.
The best part?
You can search your digital past using plain, everyday language. You can also scroll through a timeline to jump back to a specific date and see what apps or websites you had opened.
And it doesn’t stop at text.
Recall uses AI to match visuals in your snapshots, so whether it’s a webpage, document, or image, you can find exactly what you’re looking for without breaking a sweat.
And before you freak out about privacy, relax; Microsoft has made some serious security changes to it.
For starters, Recall is 100% opt-in. You decide whether to enable it, what gets saved, and can delete anything you don’t want hanging around.
It even avoids taking snapshots of sensitive stuff like passwords or credit card details.
Plus, Microsoft swears it won’t touch your snapshots or send them to the cloud.
In other words, your data stays locked on your PC, encrypted and protected, and snooping is not allowed.
There’s more:
Microsoft is also introducing ’Click to Do’, a partner feature that allows you to interact with your snapshots.
You can use AI-powered actions like copying text, saving images, and many other cool things.
Soon, you’ll be able to perform visual searches on YouTube videos or other content. (You can find out more here)
For now, this futuristic duo is only available on Qualcomm-powered Copilot Plus PCs, with Intel and AMD support coming soon.
Also, Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel can already take it for a spin in the latest Windows 11 preview.
If you’re still curious, you can check out the full report to learn more.
As for us, we’ll be sitting back with some popcorn, watching to see if Recall becomes the AI tool that transforms how we work or if it stirs up some Big Brother vibes.
Either way, the decision (and scrutiny) is now in the hands of users and security experts. Let’s see how it all unfolds!

💰 Amazon Invests Billions to Save Alexa!
Amazon is doubling its investment in AI startup Anthropic.
According to reports, they’ll be throwing in another $4 billion into the makers of Claude AI, which brings its total investment in the company to a jaw-dropping $8 billion!
And what’s Amazon getting out of this massive cash splash? A whole lot!
For starters, it’s all part of a high-stakes plan to make Alexa smarter, sassier, and, let’s face it, less awkward.
According to the blog post, Anthropic will name Amazon Web Services (AWS) its official go-to training partner, and future AI models will run on Amazon’s custom chips, Trainium and Inferentia.
But here’s where it gets tricky:
While Claude AI is set to fuel Amazon’s next-gen Alexa (expected in 2025), early tests have been... mixed.
Sure, Claude outshone Amazon’s in-house AI models, but beta testers weren’t exactly wowed.
They’ve called Alexa slow, stilted, and not-so-great at basic tasks— basically not exactly the “smart” assistant of our dreams. Yikes.
So why is Amazon going all out? We guess it’s feeling the heat from competitors like Microsoft and OpenAI, who are racing ahead in the AI game.
Amazon wants Alexa to go from clunky to ChatGPT-level conversational, and it’s willing to spend billions to make that happen.
In short, Amazon’s betting big that Claude AI can save Alexa from becoming yesterday’s news.
Fngers crossed that this new investment pays off and that Alexa finally becomes the assistant we’ve been dreaming of.
