💃 OpenAI Has Moved On To The Next Upgrade!

ChatGPT's voice feature is now free for all users.

Simply tap the headphones icon in the mobile app to converse with ChatGPT and hear its response.

The announcement was accompanied by a demo showcased on X, where it even jokes about the ongoing drama, which has unfolded late into the night over the past few days.

Former OpenAI president Greg Brockman in a post on ‘X’ encourages everyone to give it a try, claiming that it "totally changes the ChatGPT experience."

What's particularly intriguing is that this development aligns not only with CEO Sam Altman's departure but also a speculation about his potential return.

Is this a strategic move by OpenAI to navigate the changes or perhaps to reassure the public? Either way, it's a comforting development, and we encourage you to watch the demo.

Reports suggest Sam Altman is still eyeing a return as OpenAI's CEO, and recent interviews with Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella on the subject are shrouded with uncertainty.

When asked directly by CNBC’s Jon Fortt if Sam Altman and OpenAI’s staffers would join Microsoft, Nadella said:

“That is for the OpenAI board and management and employees to choose".

Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella

He followed by saying that Microsoft “chose to explicitly partner with OpenAI [and] obviously that depends on the people at OpenAI staying there or coming to Microsoft, so I’m open to both options.”

In another interview with Bloomberg TV just moments later, Nadella simply said that Altman and Brockman are in the process of joining before quickly pivoting to talking about Microsoft’s own AI work again.

The bottom line? Altman's official status at Microsoft is still a mystery.

He’s not in the company’s corporate directory, and his appointment hasn’t been detailed to employees in any internal company-wide memos yet.

However, if he’s fully onboarded to Microsoft then he’ll have a CEO title inside Microsoft and could be set to hire hundreds of OpenAI employees who have threatened to resign.

So, the big question is will Altman's CEO status be at Microsoft or OpenAI?
