🌏 OpenAI's First Office in Asia!
OpenAI is a huge deal in the AI world, but can you believe it has just 1,200 employees globally and that it only opened its first international office in London last year?
Well, the ChatGPT maker is now expanding to Japan!
They’re opening a new Tokyo office, marking its first office in Asia. It also plans to develop a GPT-4 model specifically for the Japanese language.
This move signals a strategic push into the Japanese market and highlights how OpenAI will likely need to localize its technology to different languages as it expands.
But guess what? OpenAI is not the only one that has Japan in mind!
SoftBank launched SB Intuitions last November, which is like an “OpenAI for Japan” that builds LLMs and generative AI services natively in Japanese.
Looks like Japan is the hot new destination for AI! Maybe we should head there too.😀

💃 Adobe is up to Something New Again!
Adobe just announced that they're working on a generative AI video model for their Firefly family that will bring new tools to its Premiere Pro video editing platform.
So, what's in the toolbox?
As a Premiere Pro user, you'll be able to create a video from scratch.
Add or remove objects using text prompts (just like Photoshop's Generative Fill feature), and
You can even extend the length of video clips.
But here's where it gets even more exciting — Adobe hinted at a possible team-up with Runway, Pika Labs, and OpenAI's Sora models for third-party integrations!
Just imagine the possibilities of using all four platforms together! Premier Pro users will be living the dream!
But before you get all excited, it’s important you know that the third-party integration isn't set in stone yet — Adobe calls it an "early exploration" of what could happen "in the future." So, fingers crossed!🤞
As for the release date, Adobe's keeping us on our toes with a vague promise of a rollout "this year."
