🎮 Roblox's Big AI Move!
Roblox is stepping up its AI game!
The popular online platform recently announced a new generative AI tool that will let game creators design entire 3D environments just by typing out text prompts.
Picture this: you type “create a race track” or “make the scenery a desert,” and voila!
You’ll instantly have a fully fleshed-out virtual world pop-up—no 3D design experience needed.
The tool is still in development but could open doors for creators and make game design more accessible.
Roblox hasn’t shared a launch date for the tool yet, but it’s also expected to allow users to make modifications like changing the time of day or swapping out entire landscapes.
And get this - they're making the AI open-source, meaning anyone can potentially improve it.

⚖️ Senators Demand FTC Probe into AI Content Summaries!
Have you noticed how AI tools are getting really good at summarizing things like news and recipes?
Well, that’s starting to ruffle some feathers in Washington.
A group of Democratic senators, led by Amy Klobuchar, is becoming uneasy about how these AI features might unfairly squeeze creators and publishers.
And they've sent an open letter to the FTC and Justice Department, asking them to investigate whether these AI tools are crossing the line into anticompetitive territory.
Here’s the deal:
Big platforms like Google and Meta rake in billions from advertising using content created by others.
But now, with AI summaries, users don’t even need to leave the platform to get the scoop.
That means less traffic—and less revenue—for the original creators. And if publishers try to opt out of being indexed, they risk losing even more traffic.
It’s like being stuck between a rock and a hard place!
The senators are worried that this will create a rigged market in which just a few companies control the advertising revenue and set the rules.
So, they’re calling on the FTC to look into whether this amounts to unfair competition.
Think about it: if only a handful of companies control how content is monetized online, they end up having a lot of say over what we see and read.
And if they’re using AI to summarize content without fairly compensating the creators, that’s a real problem.
It’s a tough issue, though — Proving that these AI practices are illegal won’t be easy since the bar for anti-competitive behavior is pretty high.
However, these senators are determined to protect creators and publishers and ensure a fair online content market.
This could even lead to new laws regulating AI and advertising. Who knows?🤷♀️
