But it seems to come with a catch.

It turns out these AI features might not be free forever.

Buried in the fine print of the S24 Ultra product page, Samsung indicates that the Galaxy AI features will be provided for free until the end of 2025 on supported devices.

Although Samsung insists on a commitment to free access. However, there's there's a chance they might start charging for them soon.

Drew Blackard, Samsung US's VP of mobile, cryptically hints at the future without much clarity, stating that changes won't be considered before 2025.

The reason for these impending charges is due to the skyrocketing costs of powering advanced AI services, which might make subscription-based models the only possible way to pay for these ongoing costs.

And yes, this might potentially reshape how we view phone purchases as post-purchase subscription payment for additional features might be the new norm.

One thing is for sure: if Samsung is going to demand payments for these AI features, they must be really ready to impress, or it’s gonna be a tough sell for them.

🤯 Novels With AI-generated Content Win Literary Awards!

Is AI the new co-author in literature? That seems to be the case for Japanese author Rie Kudan who recently wrote an award-winning novel with the help of AI!

The author admitted that about 5% of her book Tokyo-to Dojo-to (“Sympathy Tower Tokyo”) included verbatim sentences generated by ChatGPT.

She wanted to find the perfect “soft and fuzzy words” to convey the complex theme of justice in her book, so she turned to AI to help her. And boy, did it pay off! Her book not only won an award, but the prize committee even called her work "flawless."

And guess what? This isn't the first time an author is using AI as a writing partner.

Last year, a Chinese professor also used AI to write a science fiction novel in just three hours, and went on to win a national competition. Isn't that incredible?

Even more interesting is that not everyone could spot the AI touch — one judge said the language was "weak" but another praised its "creativity and scene description."

But what does all this mean for the future of literature?

Some fear that the use of AI threatens traditional writing, but others see it as a creative ally. A book critic for The New York Times emphasizes that AI is an added literary tool, not a replacement for humans in literature.
