You'll have the freedom to pick your AI friend's gender, age, ethnicity, personality, and interests.

Whether you fancy a "reserved," "enthusiastic," "creative," or "witty" friend, Instagram's got you covered. After you've customized it, you'll be able to give your AI friend a name and select an avatar that resonates with you.

As of now, Instagram hasn't commented on this feature, and it's important to note that the overall design may change during development. Still, the idea of an "AI friend" is pretty interesting.
