Siri is getting a huge glow-up
An ‘LLM Siri’ to compete with ChatGPT.....
Hello and welcome to the Automated, your AI tour guide.
Apple is reportedly planning something big for Siri, folks. It's so big that we might finally stop yelling at her for getting everything wrong.
Here’s what we have for you today:

🤩 Siri is Getting a Huge Glow-Up!
Apple’s Siri might finally be graduating from “barely gets what you mean” to “wow, it actually gets me!”
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the tech giant is working hard on an exciting next-gen version of Siri, cleverly dubbed “LLM Siri.”
The mission?
To transform Siri from a robotic ”know-it-all” into a delightful conversational partner, much like OpenAI’s ChatGPT or Google’s Gemini Live.
And this isn’t just a simple upgrade; Apple is gearing up for a total AI makeover.
Powered by its in-house advanced AI models, the new Siri promises to be more natural, engaging, and, dare we say, actually smart.
It’ll also step up its game with better third-party app integration through expanded App Intents.
Plus, Siri might even help you summarize and draft texts, which is a lifesaver on those brain-fog Mondays.
But hold up; it’s Apple we’re talking about here.
While some features might debut as soon as next year, the full Siri transformation is expected to take place in spring 2026.
Yep, it’s a bit of a wait, but then again, Apple has a knack for taking its time with big releases (sometimes a bit too much time, if we’re being honest).
Good news, though! They’re not completely sitting on their hands.
Just last month, they quietly rolled out a ChatGPT integration in the iOS 18.2 beta, and next year? Prepare for Siri to understand what’s on your screen and execute actions within apps.
In short, Siri might finally shed its reputation as the punchline of tech humor and transform into something genuinely useful.
It’s about time, so here’s to hoping!🤞

🗣️ Microsoft’s Exciting New Voice Translation Tool!
Ever wished you could speak another language and still sound like yourself? Microsoft is making that happen.
The company has unveiled the "Interpreter" for Teams, a real-time voice-cloning AI agent that translates your speech into nine languages while keeping your unique tone.
This gem is launching in early 2025 as a public preview for Microsoft 365 users subscribers.
And, as expected, Microsoft promises robust privacy, too!
Voice simulation will only kick in when users opt-in via notification during meetings or by toggling the 'Voice simulation consent' in their settings.
Plus, rest assured that your data is safe—Interpreter doesn’t store any bimetric data or alter your tone.
This innovation isn’t new, though; video-conferencing services have been dabbling in real-time translation for years.
Microsoft’s own Skype made waves nearly a decade ago, and competitors like Zoom and Google Meet have tried their hands at it, too, each with varying levels of success.
However, the recent advancements in AI have sparked a renewed demand for real-time translation.
Just last month, Google showcased its AI-powered live translations for Chromebooks.
And there’s also OpenAI’s transcription tool, Whisper, in the arena, albeit with its own challenges—like delivering inaccurate responses eight out of ten times!
In fact, Microsoft, which uses the Whisper model for its Azure AI Speech service, cautions users that it isn't suitable for "sensitive or high-risk applications."
Still, this kind of tech is sought after, and hopefully, Interpreter will find its stride and record some success.
