Welcome Automaters, 👋

So as healthcare costs continue to climb and cuts roll out, medical debt is tightening its grip across the U.S. And guess who has clocked in early to help collect every single penny? Artificial intelligence.

Now as you might already know, AI isn't just lurking in the shadows anymore. It has fully infiltrated the medical world:

  • It takes notes during exam rooms and instantly writes up visit codes.

  • It fires off automated billing reminders before you even leave the parking lot.

  • It chats with patients through online billing portals 24/7, serving as a tireless bill keeper that never, ever takes a lunch break.

Let’s look at the numbers because they’re wild. Recent data reveals that more than one in four U.S. adults carried medical debt. The plot twist? That number is practically identical for people who actually have health insurance.

Enter the Algorithmic Bill Collectors

Venture-backed tech platforms are capitalizing on this chaos. Companies like Cedar—backed heavyweights like Andreessen Horowitz and JP Morgan—use advanced machine learning algorithms to predict exactly who can pay. From there, they generate personalized payment options.

Their flagship AI voice agent, Kora, handles inbound and outbound billing calls, navigating complex coordination-of-benefits issues so fewer stressed humans have to sit on hold with a hospital billing department. It’s smooth, conversational, and completely emotionless.

Unsurprisingly, not everyone is thrilled about the new automated overlords:

  • The Critics: A research paper from the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association suggested that AI scribes and aggressive automated coding tools might actually be driving hospital bills higher by encouraging complex billing practices.

  • The Defense: The American Hospital Association fired back, arguing that the analysis fails to prove hospitals are intentionally miscoding patients.

  • The Public Pushback: Meanwhile, frustrated patients are taking matters into their own hands. Over on social media, viral trends are encouraging everyday consumers to question, dispute, or completely ignore confusing medical collections.

At the same time, government agencies are dipping their toes into the water. Medicare rolled out pilot programs to test AI-driven approvals for medical care, mirroring tactics long used by private insurers.

The Final Takeaway: The next time an envelope shows up in your mailbox looking suspiciously like a medical invoice, remember that an algorithm likely helped calculate every line item.

Maybe, just maybe, ask a human to double-check the math before you open your wallet.

🤖 Meta’s Muse Wonder & Wonder Full: Everything You Need to Know About the New Frontier Models

After more than a year and tens of billions of dollars spent rebuilding its dream team, Meta officially dropped two brand-new models on Monday: Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full.

Meta claims it has finally caught up to the frontier. But is it actual tea, or just big-tech bravado? Let’s break it all down.

What Is Muse Wonder?

Where the earlier Muse Spark model was built to be a fast, lightweight sprinter, the new Wonder series is built like an absolute powerhouse. These models are significantly larger, smarter, and engineered specifically to tackle messy, high-stakes assignments without breaking a sweat.

Meta’s official model card boasts that Wonder and Wonder Full are dropping benchmark scores that directly rival heavy hitters like Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra.

Now forget basic prompt-and-response. Meta is pitching two signature features that make these models feel terrifyingly capable:

  • Active Memory: Think of this as an AI that actually pays attention. Instead of wiping the slate clean every time you open a new tab, this feature allows the model remember your preferences, context, and tiny personal details across days, weeks, and multiple chats. It instantly pulls back whatever is relevant to your current project. Translation: It literally has a better memory.

  • Active Focus: You know that one friend who refuses to sleep until the group project is done? That is Active Focus. When a workflow gets chaotic, complicated, or downright confusing, the model locks in and keeps pushing toward your goal instead of giving up or throwing an error.

Where These Models Shine

According to Meta, these models aren’t just for typing up polite emails. They were trained to execute heavy lifting across specific industries such as:

  • Legal & Financial Navigation: Analyzing complex documentation and tracking subtle details.

  • Health-Related Guidance: Sorting through nuanced information seamlessly.

  • Frontier Coding Performance: Writing, debugging, and structuring high-level code on complex technical builds.

Now, all this power definitely comes with a heavy price tag. In fact, Meta expects its AI spend to top out at an eye-watering $145 billion this year alone. Naturally, they’re passing some of those costs along:

  • For Muse Wonder (API) developers will pay $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens. That puts its price right in line with premium market rivals like GPT-6 Sol or Opus 5.5.

  • Muse Wonder Full is of course reserved exclusively for power users on paid Muse Code plans, which start at $50 a month for "power usage" or $200 a month for "maximum usage"

The Bottom Line: Muse Wonder is set to power Muse, Meta’s main personal AI agent. Whether it completely reshapes how we use daily assistants remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: Meta is back in the frontier race with serious cash, massive context, and zero intention of backing down.

Your SOC 2, handled end to end with AI agents.

Enterprise buyers won’t put your product near their customer data without a SOC 2 report. Twenty-one state privacy laws now hold them accountable for the vendors they share data with, so their diligence lands on you.

Sprinto gets you audit ready in 14 days, across three working sessions. AI agents connect your stack, collect the evidence auditors ask for, and close the gaps as they appear. You approve, they execute.

Sprinto also answers the security questionnaires your buyers send, using the same evidence base, so security reviews stop holding up deals.

No compliance hire. No consultant. Your auditor signs off.

🤖 AI Workout Of The Day: How to Turn Off Apple Intelligence in iOS 27 Part 2 (The Ultimate Guide )

Picking up right where we left off! If you caught our last quick tip yesterday, here’s the next Apple Intelligence feature you’ll want to toggle off to take back control of your device, privacy, and battery.

Step 1: Deactivate the Clingy Suggestions

Why does your phone want to help you reply to emails, write journal entries, and organize voicemails? We may never know. But we do know how to make it stop:

  • Kill Smart Replies: Go to Settings > Apps > Mail and turn off Personalize Smart Replies so your emails sound like you again.

  • Purge the Phone App: Head to Settings > Apps > Phone and turn off Suggestions in Voicemail (no more creepy automated reminders based on voicemails). Then, go a step deeper into Settings > Apps > Phone > Apple Intelligence & Siri and turn off Show When Calling to block random pop-up reservation numbers.

  • Free Your Journal: Go to Settings > Apps > Journal and turn off Get Writing Prompts. So you can write your inner thoughts without a robot trying to pitch you diary topics.

Step 2: Lock Down Writing Tools and Image Generators

Here’s the twist nobody asked for. The standard Siri settings do not even feature toggles for Writing Tools and image creation. Instead, Apple decided to hide these digital gremlins deep inside Screen Time. Sneaky, right?

Here’s how to lock them out completely:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions.

  2. Turn the restrictions on, then tap Siri.

  3. Change Writing Assistance (Apple's system-wide rewriting, proofreading, and summarizing menace) to Don't Allow.

  4. Block visual gimmicks like Image Playground, Genmoji, and Image Wand under Image Creation.

  5. Bonus sanity savers: While you are in this menu, you can also block Math Assistance if you hate AI doing homework in your Calculator and Notes apps, and cut off Extensions if you refuse to let Apple hand off your requests to ChatGPT.

(Note: These steps are built for Apple Intelligence-capable devices like the iPhone 15 Pro or newer, running iOS 27. If you’re still lagging behind on iOS 26, you get off easy with a single master switch under Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri.)

So, are you ripping the AI band-aid off immediately, or are you keeping a few features around just to see how weird they get? Let’s chat in the comments!
