🤯 Top Executives leave OpenAI!

OpenAI has been making headlines lately with some major leadership shakeups.
First, it was Ilya Sutskever, who cofounded OpenAI and was its chief scientist, who left the company after almost a decade in a post on X.
Just hours later, Jan Leike, a co-leader of OpenAI's super alignment group, announced his resignation in a very interesting way!
Oh, and did you know that both Leike and Sutskever were on OpenAI's superalignment group, a team focused on ensuring that its AI systems align with human interests?
Yep! We wonder what’s the backstory there and what’s their next move.
And guess what? They’re not alone!
Two researchers, Leopold Aschenbrenner and Pavel Izmailov, who had both worked on the superalignment team, quit last month.
So did two other executives, Diane Yoon and Chris Clark, some weeks ago!
Could there be trouble in OpenAI paradise? These many resignations within a short period of time are certainly raising eyebrows.

💃 AI-Powered Scam Call Detection Feature is Coming to Android!

Google is working on a new call monitoring feature that will help protect you from scam calls.
Here’s how it works:
The feature uses Gemini Nano (which is only currently supported on the Google Pixel 8 Pro and Samsung S24 series) to fish out fraudulent language and other conversation patterns commonly used in scam calls.
And as soon as it senses trouble, it sends real-time alerts during the call!
A good example of what would trigger those alerts is calls from “bank representatives" trying to get you to give sensitive information like passwords or card PINs or request payments through gift cards.

And here's the best part: Your conversations are totally safe and sound.
Google assures us that the new protections are entirely on-device, so anything monitored by Gemini Nano stays private.
Plus, it's not a default feature; to use it, you'll need to opt in!
Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait a bit longer, as Google has yet to provide a specific release date for the feature.
We can't wait for this masterpiece to drop! Read more about it here.
