🎵 Transform Text into Music Using AI.

Brett Bauman, the developer of PlayListAI (previously LinupSupply), just launched “Songburst”, a text-to-music app on the App Store.

You can type in a prompt like "Relaxing piano music for work," and voilà!

Music at your fingertips. 🎹

Can't think of a prompt? No worries.

The app offers video, lo-fi, podcasts, meditation, and more categories. You can Try it here.

Bauman isn’t alone in trying to make a neat text-to-music app. There’s also CassetteAI, launched by Akhil Tolani on the web and App Store.

Both tools offer copyright-free music for creators, but the difference is that Songburst currently generates 30-second samples, while CassetteAI can go up to three minutes.

And guess what?

Even big names like Google and Meta have joined the AI music revolution.

It's safe to say that in the future, everyone will have an equal opportunity to pursue a career as a music writer.

🚫 New York Times Cuts Off OpenAI’s Web Crawler!

The New York Times has blocked OpenAI's web crawler, meaning OpenAI can no longer use NYT content to train its AI models.

The blockade began as early as August 17th. If you check the NYT’s robots.txt page, you can see that the NYT disallows GPTBot.

So, why the sudden cold shoulder?

The New York Times updated its terms of service earlier this month, firmly saying "no" to AI model training with their content.

And it doesn’t stop there - They're even considering legal action against OpenAI for intellectual property violations.

If they eventually sue, they’ll join a long list of people eager to fight their case in court.

If you're wondering how to stop OpenAI from using your data to train their AI, this is how. 👇
