The bottom line: 2026 is the year AI moves from "hype" to "habit." and we're here to make sure you have the tools, the philosophy, and the community to lead that charge.
Alright. Let’s get to work.
Here's what we have for you today
🦾 7 AI Predictions for 2026: Agents, World Models, and the Rise of Physical AI
If 2025 was the year AI got a vibe check, 2026 is shaping up to be the year the tech industry finally admits what many of us were already thinking:
You cannot just throw more compute at a problem forever and expect magic to happen.
In fact, the era of “just make it bigger” is officially ending. And honestly, that might be the best thing that could have happened to AI.
Remember when everyone was convinced the path to superintelligence was simply scaling compute, data, and model parameters?
Yeah… about that.
Industry leaders are now openly admitting that pre-training scaling laws are hitting diminishing returns.
Even Ilya Sutskever, OpenAI co-founder and one of the architects of those very scaling laws, recently told Dwarkesh Patel that current models are plateauing and everyone is “looking for the next thing.” And when the person who helped create the playbook says the playbook isn't working anymore, you know something's up.
And it is not just OpenAI.
Yann LeCun, Meta’s former chief AI scientist, who left to launch his own world-model startup reportedly seeking a $5 billion valuation, has been arguing against over-reliance on brute-force scaling for years. Turns out, he might have been onto something.
But here’s the big rethink: What if, instead of trillion-parameter models that cost millions to train, we built smaller, specialized models that do specific tasks extremely well?
Andy Markus, AT&T’s Chief Data Officer, predicts that fine-tuned small language models will become a staple for mature AI enterprises in 2026. According to him, they can match larger models in accuracy while being dramatically faster and cheaper.
French AI startup Mistral has been proving this for a while now. Their smaller models often outperform much larger ones once properly fine-tuned.
Plus the practical upside is massive: Lower costs, faster inference, and the ability to deploy on edge devices without needing a nuclear reactor's worth of power. Plus, when regulations eventually catch up to AI (and they will), having smaller, more transparent models is going to be a massive advantage.
And get this: World models are about to blow up.
Large language models are great at predicting the next word. What they are not so great at is understanding how the physical world works.
That is where world models come in.
These systems learn physics, spatial relationships, and causality by interacting with simulated 3D environments. And 2026 is looking like the year they go mainstream.
The momentum is already real:
Yann LeCun’s new venture is all-in on world models
Google DeepMind is developing Genie for interactive world generation
Fei-Fei Li’s World Labs launched Marble, their first commercial world model
Runway dropped GWM-1 in December
General Intuition raised $134 million to teach agents spatial reasoning through video game clips
And the near-term winner? Yeah that’s gaming. PitchBook estimates the world-model gaming market could grow from $1.2 billion to $276 billion by 2030.
But the long-term play here is way bigger, we’re talking: robotics, autonomous vehicles, and AI systems that actually understand the real world.
Also: AI Agents Finally Get Their Connective Tissue
Remember the hype around AI agents in 2025? And how they mostly... didn't work?
Turns out the problem wasn't the agents themselves, it was that they had no standardized way to connect to all the tools and data they needed.
Enter the Model Context Protocol (MCP), Anthropic's "USB-C for AI" that lets agents talk to databases, APIs, and enterprise systems through a universal standard.
In December, Anthropic donated MCP to the Linux Foundation’s new Agentic AI Foundation, backed by OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, AWS, and just about everyone that matters in AI.
The protocol already has:
10,000+ published servers,
Official support from Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, and more
Managed MCP servers from Google for BigQuery, Google Maps, and Kubernetes.
Translation: 2026 might be the year AI agents actually start doing useful work, not just impressive demos.
But here is the plot twist no one predicted.
After years of “AI will automate everything” rhetoric, 2026 may actually be a year of AI-driven hiring.
Kian Katanforoosh, CEO of AI agent platform Workera, told TechCrunch that “2026 will be the year of the humans.” Why? Well Companies are realizing AI has not worked as autonomously as promised.
Instead, he expects new roles in AI governance, transparency, safety, data management, and predicts unemployment will remain under 4%.
The messaging is already changing. The narrative is shifting from “AI will replace you” to “AI will make you better at your job.” Which, given where the technology actually is, feels far more accurate.
Lastly, physical AI will most definitely go mainstream
Smart glasses. Health rings. AI-powered watches. Physical AI is about to hit the mainstream in 2026.
Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses can already enhance conversations. Apple Watches are getting smarter. And nearly every week, a new AI-powered gadget arrives with eye-catching design and surprisingly capable intelligence.
According to Vikram Taneja, Head of AT&T Ventures, physical AI will take off as new categories of devices including wearables, drones, robotics, and autonomous vehicles enter the market .
And while robots and self-driving cars remain expensive, wearables offer an affordable and familiar entry point for consumers.
The Bottom Line
2026 is not about AI slowing down. It is about AI growing up.
The industry is moving from brute-force scaling to architectural innovation, from flashy demos to practical deployments, and from autonomous AI fantasies to augmented intelligence.
Will we get AGI this year? Probably not.
Will we get AI that is cheaper, more useful in daily workflows, and better integrated into the tools we already use? Absolutely.
So yeah, the hype cycle is over. And honestly? That is exactly what AI needed.

🤖 AI Workout Of The Day
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: The quality of your prompt determines the quality of the output.
It’s the reason two people can use the exact same AI for the exact same task and get wildly different results.
Let’s look at a quick experiment.
The Task: Write a client email introducing a new service.
Level 1: The Beginner: "Write a professional email explaining my service." The Result: Polite, generic, and totally forgettable. It reads like a textbook.
Level 2: The Intermediate: "Write a friendly, professional email explaining my service to small business owners. Keep it under 150 words." The Result: Now we’re getting somewhere. Clear audience, better tone, less fluff. It’s... fine.
Level 3: The Advanced: "Act as a conversion-focused copywriter. Write a friendly but confident email introducing my service to skeptical small business owners {Inserts Service with every tiny detail}. Keep it under 120 words. Use simple language, avoid buzzwords, and end with one soft CTA." The Result: Night and day. It’s persuasive, positioned perfectly, and actually sounds human.
The Big Takeaway: If AI feels "bad," it’s usually not the tool, it's the instructions. If you don't tell the AI who to be, who it’s talking to, or what "success" looks like, it’s just guessing and trust me you don’t want AI guessing with you.
That’s why our goal is simple: turn AI into your super sidekick, one prompt at a time. Stick with us this year, and we’ll make AI feel like a toy you actually want to play with.
But before we call it a day, be honest… which level are you prompting at right now? 👀
⚡ Prompts to try:
"Act as a conversion-focused copywriter. Write a friendly but confident email introducing my service to skeptical small business owners {Inserts Service with every tiny detail}. Keep it under 120 words. Use simple language, avoid buzzwords, and end with one soft CTA."P.S. Each Workout of the Day (WoD) is powered by original prompts written by our team — no recycled or external templates here. That means lower risk of prompt injection or manipulation, and higher trust in what you’re creating.
