💃 WhatsApp is Getting a Smart Upgrade!

Meta is taking AI on WhatsApp to the next level!

They recently updated Meta AI to Llama-3.1, their latest multi-modal large language generative AI model that can understand text, voice, and images and generate them.

And soon, you won’t just be typing to Meta AI—you’ll be talking to it!

Reports suggest the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.24.18.18 is testing using voice commands as input for Meta AI.

This will be a huge upgrade, as Meta AI only supports text-based input on WhatsApp, but if it works out, you’ll enjoy hands-free interaction with Meta AI.

Imagine asking your AI to draft a message, find information, or even edit an image, all through voice. Pretty cool, right?

However, whether the AI’s responses will be in voice or text is still unclear.

One thing's for sure, though: WhatsApp users will have multiple ways to engage with Meta AI, such as a floatable window on the home screen and a new microphone icon near the text input area.

There's even a visual indicator—a green bubble at the top right corner—for Android users when the microphone is actively listening.

🤔 ‘Recall Uninstall Option’ in Windows 11: Bug or Intentional?

If you're a Windows 11 user, you might have noticed something strange in the latest update, but if you haven't, let’s fill you in!

In the recently released update to Windows 11 (version 24H2 with KB5041865), some users spotted an option that made it look like they could uninstall the upcoming Recall feature.

Yes, that Recall—the one everyone’s been talking about!

But guess what? It was just a bug; Microsoft has confirmed this and is working hard to fix it in an upcoming update.

Now, for those unfamiliar with Recall, it’s an AI-powered feature designed to take screenshots of almost everything you do or see on your computer to help you keep track of everything.

It initially sounded like something we could all use, but it quickly sparked controversy.

Security researchers raised numerous concerns, which led Microsoft to delay its launch till October.

But from what we hear, Microsoft is addressing those concerns. They’re making Recall an opt-in feature, encrypting the data it collects, and adding extra security measures like Windows Hello authentication.

And if you're in the EU, you might even get the option to fully uninstall Recall, thanks to some new regulations.

So, for now, don't worry—the uninstall option you saw was just a mistake, and Microsoft is on it.
