🤯 X’s New AI Image Generator is Wild!

Elon Musk’s xAI has introduced a new feature via its Grok chatbot: creating images from text prompts, and it has caused quite a stir!
Grok allows image prompts that would be immediately blocked on other platforms.
As a result, subscribers to X Premium, which grants access to Grok, have been generating and posting controversial images, including those of political figures in unsettling situations.
We're talking about images of Barack Obama doing cocaine, Donald Trump with a pregnant woman who (vaguely) resembles Kamala Harris, Trump and Harris pointing guns, etc.
There’s even one of Barack Obama stabbing Joe Biden with a knife!

Isn't Grok supposed to have guardrails to prevent this kind of content, you ask?
Well, it kind of does — If you ask Grok something like, “What are your limitations on image generation? It will churn up things like:
It avoids creating pornographic, violent, or hateful images.
It’s cautious about creating images that might infringe on existing copyrights or trademarks, including those of well-known characters, logos, etc.
It won’t generate images that could be used to deceive or harm others.
However, these responses may not be real rules. They’re likely predictive answers generated on the spot and change every time you ask.
Can you believe it?🤯
But if you think about it, Elon Musk isn't a fan of standard AI and social media safety conventions, so Grok’s looseness should have been expected.
It’s just that the timing of this image generator's release is not great, especially given that X is already under a lot of regulatory scrutiny.
Plus, with US elections around the corner, do we really want deepfakes flying around?

🎓 California and Nvidia Launch AI Training Program!

California is making a bold move to become the AI capital of the world!
They’re teaming up with Nvidia to launch an innovative first-of-its-kind AI training program that's all about:
Training and equipping up to 100,000 residents, students, educators, and workers with the skills they need for tomorrow’s jobs.
Creating jobs and fostering innovation.
And using AI to tackle real-world problems like traffic and language barriers.
And you know what? It's all part of Governor Gavin Newsom's plan to make California the AI leader!
Here’s how it'll all play out:
Nvidia will bring its expertise to community colleges, providing curriculum, certifications, software, hands-on workshops, and boot camps to help students learn how to harness AI for in-demand jobs and even create new career paths.
Government representatives, on the other hand, will select certain community college faculty to participate in special AI ambassador programs to help spread knowledge and expertise.
And let's not forget about job creation!
Nvidia will offer technical guidance and mentorship, while California will support early-stage AI startups, create innovation hubs, and host hackathons to showcase practical AI applications.
The state will even adopt AI skills training for government careers, including new roles for AI specialists.
So, what do you think? Is it safe to embrace and integrate AI into the system?
Don’t forget that AI has already occupied most, if not all, aspects of our lives; it's only a matter of time before it becomes as inescapable as the internet is today.

🤖ChatGPT Prompt Of The Day: Create An Email Autoresponder.
Autoresponders ensure that your audience receives an immediate response, setting expectations and building trust.
This is especially important for new subscribers or customers who may need reassurance that their request or inquiry has been received.
Here's a prompt that can help you with that.
“Create an email autoresponder so people who email me can progress their work without waiting for a response from me. Open a dialogue where you ask me what people often email me about, inviting me to paste in a typical message I receive. Next, ask for my typical answer. Keep going with these emails, one by one, until we have covered the most popular topics. Then, collate the information into a concise yet helpful email responder that I can put in place. At the start of the email, explain that I get a lot of enquiries and I put these FAQs together to help people find a way forward. Use my writing style to create the response: [Include an email you wrote for context]..”
