I saw this in a recent article about how Slack (owned by Salesforce) is now blocking other startups and companies from accessing your data.
And the conclusion this writer draws is that pretty soon all SaaS companies, and all companies by extension, will want to own your data for AI purposes.

This was always going to be the case.
Remember Facebook’s early days, when it was said that if you weren’t paying for the product, that you are the product.
What that meant in the early days of the Internet was that your eyeballs were the product. Your attention.
That’s because their paying customers were the brands. They were the ones coughing up the money for your attention, and Facebook needed your attention for the brands to depart with their cash.
Now it’s coming even deeper.
In the age of AI, your data is now the product. And that’s even more nefarious.
